Rotherham United have cancelled a pre season friendly tonight because not enough players on the books. There new manager (just like TM) will not dive in and buy mediocrity when he can wait to get a higher caliber player. Good management in my opinion.

All you doom and gloom merchants should wait until end of August before you start moaning.

Would you say you are a "glass half empty" or "glass half full" sort of chap.

I'm most definitely a glass half full sort, always the optimist. But I can face reality when it's there in front of me.

Reality hasn't hit though yet in my book, Samo.

If it were 3 days to go instead of a couple of weeks, then reality would hit me then at that point.

Still time though so the reality of the situation is still cloudy and there's still time.

Im all for us taking our time and not diving in for mediocre players but anyone joining will have now missed the lion share of pre-season.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying we should have signed players or that TM should not be patient, far from it, and I was happy with the way things developed last season. All I'm saying is, in the context of TM's own remarks early in the close season, it looks like his first choices have not come fruition.

But they will have had a pre season at another club and hopefully a Premiership or Championship club
I agree that better at CCFC but that is the way of the transfer market these days for League 1 clubs.

Well, it's gone from 2 signings this week to Mowbray saying "I hope to make one or two announcements over the next two weeks."

I know that we're in a similar situation to last season but I'm more concerned now than I was before

"Mowbray has revealed that City have one triallist in at Ryton and one player who is training with a view to signing.(not McCann).

He also hopes to have two new signings within a week. "

Sounds like the right back from Hitchin and another player are in (maybe the Burnley centre back).

EDIT - It isn't the bloke from Hitchin after all!

I read it as one triallist was there & Andy Turner saw him as he was leaving Ryton, but he hasn't been able to identify him yet.
