...in the ground today.

Whilst nothing particularly spectacular, I think it wasn't bad with everything taken into consideration.

Just goes to show how loyal our hardcore support can be.

Yea they gave away a load of free tickets to schools probably 1-1.5k then forest brought like 2-3k. Take them off the attendance and we are back down to 12k.

In fairness they still charge for those tickets, just at a discounted rate. I know what your saying though, and its the 12k I'm refering to as the hardcore.

Ahh ok I thought they were given free to the schools and yea I don't see us dipping much below 12k it seems that will be the figure where it will stop dropping and level off.

Not so sure. Plenty of junior school kids around the Coventry area who could be referred to as hardcore.

12,000 has always been the hardcore support level, even in the Premiership.

We need to be realistic about attendances. It has nothing to do with SISU or Robinson/Richardson.

I think 12000 is what we would always get no matter how badly we're doing. Robinson/Richardson got us into this mess, Sisu have done nothing to reverse it. Had they run us better we would be getting far higher attendences.

A fair point but very difficult to say how SISU could have run us better. They trusted Ranson but his managerial appointments were lacking. In essence, why should any investor continue to pour money into a club? Sooner or later, any investor will call a halt to it.

The problem has been and always will be: Robinson and Richardson and their legacy

I agree about Robinson/Richardson, history I hope will record them as the worst owners our club ever had.

The problem I have with Sisu is that they never should have bought us in the first place as they never had the money required to turn us around. Their whole business plan seems to have been fluke a promotion within the first few years.

What did everyone think of the atmosphere today? I sat in a different seat so it's hard for me to judge or compare it.

Not that clever ,one chorus of sky blue song after goal with not even CITY CITY CITY tagged on the end ,why do you have to feel like a freak @ccfc if you tend to be vocal in support ,too many fans in our stadium sit on their hands and don't partake.

I'm sorry but i don't get the the idea that we should beat our football club up for things that happened 12-15 years ago.Just what did they do that makes them pariahs,is there a touch of political difference behind it . We bought exciting players, punched above our weight, and made money off those players ,just like ranson planned to do with Sisu.Richardsons vision for the club involved a move to a larger modern stadium, consistent with many others then and currently .The fact it never came off was down to relegation ,"WHICH IS WHERE THEY LET US DOWN", by failing to act and recognise that Strachan had lost it ,a full 18 months before he went .There was Sam Allardyce working wonders a notts county ,ifs and buts, but they acted in the same way most others have and do .you know this city has benefited greatly from our invovement in project arena ,3000 jobs ,maybe if we recognised and accentuated that point ,instead of knocking ourselves ,we might one day have a hope of owning our own ground,or gaining income streams that are generated by us,then and only then ,we may have a reaslistic chance.
