Tbh I think many don't go for a number of reasons. Lazy, scared, don't want to be arrested, don't want to be labelled racist, don't want to be photographed being amongst it, fear for their own family or jobs etc etc. That doesnt mean they're not pissed off with the current situation, but more likely to keep tutting and carry on regardless. The question is, do they have a genuine breaking point and will that before or after it's too late to affect anything or causing even further divide in society.

Probably if and when it actually starts to affect their lives really rather than just on x

It's a bit ironic when constantly referring to a our Birmingham home attendance numbers of people in a poll as what the country thinks though. 🤣

Wow wonder what the not guilty is about

If there’s no witnesses and it’s their word against hers then sadly I wouldn’t be surprised if they figured it’s worth risking. Assuming they did it of course.

Should be the death penalty for them both, sick cunts
I'm glad it's not your daughter, but what would it take for you to change your mind? I know you're more humanitarian than most and that's admirable, but this isn't about rehabilitation or education, it's simply wrong and I'm sure most would agree with Dom's way of thinking here, I wouldn't lose any sleep over them being put to sleep.

Yep medieval vengeance is the way forward
Pair are a waste of oxygen, save everybody the time of day….that goes for any sex offender/rapist

The response you gave me was pathetic but once again I wouldn’t expect any different, they aren’t ‘human’

@rob9872 tbh mate just ignore what he says, this was the guy who was crying at the fact people didn’t want the Southport killer to have access to boiling water, all because of ‘human rights’

What I can't understand is they have both been quoted as 'No Fixed Abode', the police or government need to state where these 2 have come from, have they been in the UK for years and are valid migrants etc, or are they illegals, it just doesn't sit with me that they can't be tied down to somewhere they should live

Both of my daughters have been victims so we all live in the world rob
One got to trial and she had to give evidence and the man was found not guilty
The other one the person served time. Neither were people who’d come on a small boat
That aside I think it’s a bad idea for the victims to decide on the punishment, the impact should absolutely be taken into account as it is
However where are you drawing the line? What’s the punishment for murder if this crime is the death sentence?
Firstly this is about guilt first and foremost and then it’s about sentencing and that’s before thinking about what use they may be to society after they’ve been punished
What they’ve done is abhorrent if they have! No reason to doubt the testimony of the girl of course or the first person she spoke to.

What they’ve done is deserving of a significant time in prison and deporting to their country of origin after serving their sentence that’s the law

Nothing would make me agree that the death sentence is appropriate for anyone I don’t think

HMO I'd imagine, scourge of society.

You’re such a big man on here I assume you’ve never met or talked to anyone who’s ever made a mistake or been in prison or is self aware enough to realise how you come across to people

Sorry to hear about your daughters.
In this case, a significant sentence can only mean that they are in prison until the day they die. Preferably, kept in isolation with minimal contact with anyone else.

That's one of the problems though Pete, before we deport them, they come up with all kinds of things, like, I'm now gay and would get threatened or killed in my own country, or my child needs me here and wouldn't get on back home
We're too soft throughout the whole process

In sharing the sentencing guidelines I’m not saying I agree or even have the intellect to understand how these things are agreed but it will be nowhere near a serving time for the rest of their life 6-19 years and you would hope kidnap and violence and age would mean it’s the higher end

And thank you sick boy it was hard and I was proud of how both of them have grown as people through the experience. They shouldn’t have had to deal with it of course

I share this advisedly one of the reasons the first guy was found not guilty was that it wasn’t clear that he knew grabbing someone’s chest wasn’t ok

Bloody hell...let's hope so. It's about time any kind of rape was treated on par with murder.

There’s going to prison for small crimes where people can change there lives of course, when it comes to what’s happened here it’s the worst of the worst and these 2 scumbags would be better off dead

you really think what they’ve allegedly done is as bad as someone murdering someone in cold blood or multiple people?
It’s fuckin awful but I’d prefer to have my 12 year old daughter back with me and help them through it rather than someone thinking if I’m gonna be in prison for life I might as well keep them for a few weeks and murder them more chance of getting away with it

it’s awful stuff but there’s degrees of criminality for good reason and it’s worth finding out more than responding emotionally

Fair play for sharing and sorry they/you had to endure that. You're a better man than me for what my reaction would be.

To clarify though, its nothing about boats, id feel the same whatever to mine. And as for these being kids, that for me is the threshold. Any rape is bad, on kids it simply shouldn't happen and the deterrent needs to be the worst possible imo.

IMO, it is on par with murder. She's going to be traumatised for life.

With kids I agree. The issues with making rape and murder comparable imo is that it would increase murders. I mean why take the risk they can identify you so they'd kill to protect themselves. I agree its as bad, but think for that reason there needs to be a gap in sentencing.

It’s been interesting watching the change with the new Labour government

we’ve always been able to deport foreign nationals convicted and sentenced to more than 12 months either to serve their time outside of the uk or at the end of their sentence. Nothing happened before about 12 months ago now as soon as someone is found to fall into either category work starts immediately to move them out. The hardest part is when the person doesn’t want to go(they have to) and more importantly when the country refuses to either accept the sentence or accept the person

I suppose conceivably they could say I’ll be killed or tortured if I return to Iran or Afghanistan as a sex offender for example but there’s no right to appeal
