Clear of 3rd place, surely its our turn now? We just seem to have the right attitude, quality and I dont see anyone making up that deficit.
Reinforcements in January, and the ability to rotate even with a small squad is just so beneficial to the cause.
King Robins made it possible, Emperor Lampard is making it happen

Last club to be 10 points ahead at this stage was Sheffield United in 2005-06.

To be 10 points ahead at this stage is absolutely massive

30 games left. Lose 10 draw 5 and we still probably go up. Can you really see us losing 10. This is like the league 1 championship season where we just expect to win every game

For reference of how big a 10 point lead is, in our entire football league history, we've been automatically promoted 5 times.

The points clear at the end of those seasons were:

2019/20 - 8 points
1966/67 - 7 points (7 points when adjust for 3 points per win)
1963/64 - 2 points (1 point when adjust for 3 points per win)
1958/59 - 3 points (4 points when adjust for 3 points per win)
1935/36 - 1 point (3 points when adjust for 3 points per win)

If the season were to end now, it would be our most convincing ever promotion.

I like to keep myself grounded by remembering that Walsall were 15 points clear of the playoffs last season on the 20th Jan and still didn't go up..

I think were all grounded. We all know that we're very capable of messing this up. However it is quite rare for a club to mess up this position

Really long way to go...we have seen this before (not to this extent). But there's a long way to go..very wary of the parachute teams still.

Feel like they are capable of going 2.2pts per game.

Still not getting carried away. It's very impressive and we're doing so well.

This run of away games ahead is very difficult. Get through this with a good points tally and I will begin to fully believe.

That stat of only ever being automatically promoted 5 times is mental

How many points clear would be need to be before we'd accept that:
a) We're quite good
b) We're in the race for promotion
c) We're title favourites
d) We're going up

At 10 points clear after 15 games - I can accept A. I'm willing to dream about B.
C & D are ridiculous and given the size & quality of our squad - I can't/won't accept them.

Perhpas 16 points clear in Jan & we can talk again
