Get him in a room with Callum O’Hare
He’s approaching the peak of his career, domestic World Cup in the summer, and he’s performing miles below his capabilities. It really doesn’t make sense.

Ultimately only Lampard knows if he is checked out and any player gets like that it’s time to cut your losses. The goal drought thing wouldn’t come into it. Even with it his record is ridiculous and buys him a lot of credit.
It does when Lampard dropped Simms after getting POTM and through December Haji underperformed and Simms comes back in with 2 goals.

There’s credit in the bank, correct. But under Lampard as a whole, Haji’s goal tally has been underwhelming. 13 goals in 38 games is below where you’d expect to be honest.

At this point I find it hard to believe that a PL club would be seriously interested in him, perhaps there's some truth to rumours linking him with a return to Turkey.

Someone like Burnley I could see signing him. A perennial yo-yo team.

It does make sense if he’s trying to manage himself towards being fit for the WC.

Maybe his priority is the USMNT and not CCFC?

Sometimes you have to be pragmatic.
If you haven't got the depth and there's fatigue in the squad, maybe you have to adjust things a bit.
He did that vs Charlton and we looked like absolute shit for the majority of the match

The biggest problem in my opinion is having no depth out wide, so when the wingers get fatigued or are having a poor game we have no options.

Recently we have also struggled in central midfield and left back where the quality rapidly drops once first choice players are out.

The right hand side has been a major issue (save for the games when Da Silva has been out) - MVE is off it, likely fatigued. Tats has been poor for 5+ games now - end product, tracking back yesterday.....they need a rest. And we need more options. Which will happen. Let's go and win the next 5 (ignoring the FA Cup game)

His priority is the USMNT, but he was shite for them last time out and will not be picked playing like this domestically.

I agree about the fatigue, so until reinforcements (hopefully) arrive, maybe we need to alter thinks slightly.

It’s odd as he referenced MVE needing to ‘get used’ to playing RCB in a back 5 to counteract overloads on our flanks, then we never saw it again.

You would imagine that he wouldn’t be picked for the squad, but I guess that depends on how Pochettino values him, maybe he has told Haji “You’re in my squad just keep yourself fit and ready”.

I find that hard to believe, but he’s got experience of a WC squad before and plays in a highly competitive league with a lot of quality.

It’s not entirely out of the question.

Look at this a different way. Starting with whoever is third someone has to win 3 games more than we do. The further you go down the league the more they have to win in excess of us. Then consider we are talking about the championship - an utter dogfight of a league. Should give us all hope.

My predictions for the remaining games.
Home;
Wins - Millwall, Oxford, Stoke, Preston, Derby, Wednesday, Portsmouth, Wrexham.
Draws - Middlesboro, Southampton.
Lose - Leicester. (gone for a defeat as I can't decide on this one, depends on how the defence performs without BT.)
Away;
Wins - QPR, Swansea, Blackburn.
Draws - Norwich, Hull, WBA.
Lose - Sheff U, Bristol, Watford.
That should give us 90 points.
Lets see how accurate I am.

Don't think we will get anything at Norwich and I think Soton wil do us at home. But still 88 points

George and Ali on NTT20 both backing us to go up, although Ali thinks we’ll be pipped by Ipswich.
Up to this point our home form, even through some less convincing performances, has been formidable. If it continues close to that we won't need much from the away fixtures to get over the line.

In general what needs to return to our play is the energy and higher tempo ball progression we saw earlier in the season.

Ipswich also needs to turn around their poor away record. They beat us, but before that game they were averaging 1.2 ppg.

Like a lot of teams, they decided to put in a performance against us that wasn't representative of how they've been playing generally. Birmingham normally awful in front of goal, then score every shot on target.
