Its weird we are top , last couple games fans from other clubs saying how poor we look.

Still hard to picture promotion , if we blow it even from this point then frankly its appalling

there would be real questions on the owner and manager if we did

I’m pretty sure it would be one of the worst collapses in the history of this league if we don’t go up from here statistically. Anything but autos is a complete failure now.

Look at the premier league . All talk been about how many city the monsters have awoken again and arsenal are scraping wins and the gap is closing and arsenal will choke etc

And then bang arsenal with a big win and man city drop pts and gap opens up again

No different with us and Ipswich. Right now it's going better for them than us but it can all change very quickly.

Ten wins from our remaining 21 games won't be easy. We have only won 2 of our last 7, scoring just 5 goals in the process. At that rate we will only win another 6.

I'm not saying we won't do it but I think it could yet be a close run thing.

Well I cant imagine we will be playing Bristol, Ipswich x2 and Southampton in those runs of fixtures.

You're making a good case for why most bookies and prediction markets have us as near-certainties for promotion.

We have to rely on our home form big time. Makes sense why Doug put out the rallying call for full houses till the end of the season.

Mowbrays first season - top in November.
Started a sticky patch in December and never recovered.
In December - it's ok, we'll be fine
January - we'll comfortably make play offs at least - a win and we're back in the top 2.
February - We're still in the play offs
March - we need to win to stay in the playoffs - we'll do it.
April - we need wins and other results to go our way.
May - 9th.
(Roughly as it went)

Not saying it is going to happen - but many many people have kidded themselves in the past that everything will be fine! (And it hasn't been!)

There is a huge difference between the relative position of us at both the end of December and November than what there was under Mowbray

2 wins 3 draws is the same as 3 wins out of 7. Win the next game and we'd have been through our worse set of results averaging 1.5 points a game. Middlesbrough are finished unless they bring in a striker. The others have to average over 2 points a game if we get just 1.5 points. 4th place is averaging 1.62 points for the season.

We got 8 points from that last block of 5, which is 1.6 ppg. The next block of 5 league games are.

Brum A
Leicester H
Millwall H
Norwich A
Qpr A

Hopefully we can put a run together again and make it less stressful for the fans. 3 or 4 wins, 3 or 4 new signings and all will be calm again.

We have to look at it from the other side not just as a City fan.
Ipswich struggled to beat Oxford today at home having done so well against us before. BUT if you look back at that Ipswich game, they deserved to win but their threat all game was little and we merely capitulated. Our form was very poor as it was today against Charlton. It's us that our poor more than any opposition being much better.
If we can find the form that we had, and I expect we will when all this illness leaves the camp, and a couple of injuries have cleared up along with DaSilva back we will be back on it.
Having Thomas out, Torp ill, Milan ill, DaSilva suspended, Rudoni findiing his feet, Wright miss firing and still carying a knock, Grimes below his standard, I think the bug hit everyone. It has disrupted our play and that's frustrating. Call it a wobble if you like but I have no doubt we will pick up the pace again.
