Alongside Wordie, I’ve added a second daily brain-teaser to our brand-new Games menu tab to really test the forum's tactical minds.
Introducing Crackle — a daily safe-cracking puzzle based on pure logic and deduction.
A fresh vault drops automatically at midnight. You get a handful of attempts to guess the secret combination, but you only get one shot per day.
After every guess, the vault won't show you which numbers are right, but it will give you two clues based on your totals:
To keep things interesting, the safe gets progressively harder to crack as the week goes on:
The puzzle is fully integrated into the forum layout. You can play it, check your stats, and track the live rankings directly on the board:

How the Code Works:
After every guess, the vault won't show you which numbers are right, but it will give you two clues based on your totals:- Locked: Digits that are completely correct and in the exact right slot.
- Close: Digits that are in the code, but currently sitting in the wrong slot.
The Weekly Difficulty Schedule:
To keep things interesting, the safe gets progressively harder to crack as the week goes on:- Mon - Tue (Easy): 3 digits, 6 attempts
- Wed - Thu (Standard): 4 digits, 8 attempts
- Fri - Sat (Hard): 5 digits, 10 attempts
- Sunday (Brutal): 4 digits, 8 attempts... but digits can repeat! (Pure evil).
