This is basically the way we've been playing recently tbf, not sure why anyone is surprised. We'll try and stink the place out then nick a goal.

Decent at the back but Stoke well on top. Gyo isolated up front on his own and without Godden to make space. Appreciate the tactic today is almost park the bus but I do fear there aren’t enough goals in the box formation.

These Stoke commentators

Poor half. Maybe got better in the last five mins but I went off to make a sandwich at that point. Midfield non existent both on and off the ball, wingbacks ineffective. Striker living off scraps.

Need to step it up across the pitch, bring on O’Hare or Waghorn for Eccles to add some technical quality in the middle.

We're second best, pedestrian. Palmer's looked class on the ball, Allen has shown sharpness vision and made some good runs, others haven't been on it. Compounded by always playing long from Wilson to one player, Rose passing every single time to a Stoke player, and Dabo only ever had one trick (stepover) but he seems to have lost confidence to even try that.

Ah well, still goalless is a result I guess!

Was happy to see the return of the box but that's the downside - Gyokeres gets very isolated. Godden's role is underrated.

We were marginally better for the last 5 minutes or so when Allen dropped into a midfield 3.
