I would bring Hamer and Dabo on at half time before we get punished. I'd even bring Palmer on for Allen or Waghorn tbh.

waghorn easily the best of the 3 forwards

Bidwell is having a really decent game today.

He's a 6 out of 10 player almost every week, with the odd 5 and the odd 7. Not as dynamic as recent players in that position, which is possibly why some people don't like him.

First time we have seen half time without conceding and impact players on the bench

Desperately poor in large parts of that. Can’t string passes together, conceding vast amounts of space, and look so brittle.

Doyle might yet surprise us, looming good so far

I thought Doyle looks lightweight and pretty poor overall. Decent shot though.

Wilson has done well apart that moment of madness. Hopefully that bit of luck will prove positively decisive

I may have to revise my prediction from 9-0 to 0-0 (or 0-1).

Drops into the half spaces very well. Think he could have dropped a little deeper when we were under pressure. Probably been a little too close to the strikers than O'Hare would have been. Sheaf and Allen needed that extra easy pass at times.

Eccles much more confident, Doyle is playing well and waghorn linking well. Sheaf not the best of games for him so far hopefully pick up 2nd.

Well... Doyle's looked good, Eccles better too. Waghorn can pass well, but movement from the front three not been great - Gyokeres best of the three, but picks the wrong ball as often as not.

We need a new keeper as a priority! Wilson could be alright, but he seems to have brain fades during a game.

Mixed though, we're not as sharp as them. Even though they've probably looked better though, they show how we've been spoiled with the quality of our football through the past few years - they've pulled us down to their level rather.

Gotta say the panic first time passes we are doing are dreadful. A few times we've played it so quickly and blind that the other players are running in the opposite direction from it.

Don't think Hamer would have survived a yellow or more in that game. There is definitely an edge to it.

Think Bidwell has been as good as I’ve seen him since he’s been here.

Sheaf is Sheaf. 5 decent things then 2 poor things.

Doyle looks fairly good.

Waghorn hasn’t let his head drop as he often did.

For all the doom and gloom I think if you put O'Hare and Hamer in this team we'll look pretty good.

Obviously the defence is a concern. But I really don't think it's as depressing as some think.

Maybe why MR didn’t start him. You just know PNE’s tactic would be to peck his head.

Bidwell has been in their box more times today than the entirety of last season. It's a vast improvement to his game this year.

Bidwell's header - did the defender turn it round with his arm? Hard to tell but looked like he moved his arm to the ball.

Better than the Guinness with the bottom half poured 2 hours before. It’s like two different drinks.

It’s an even game - could go either way - midfield is poor so hamer I’m sure will come on.

You can see Preston don’t score many. Lots of power play but little threat

Having given the foul Wilson got lucky

He's linked the play quite well but got caught out with poor touches once or twice, Godden and Gyok just do not have any partnership whatsoever. Godden playing out in the channel 40 yards from goal is a bit pointless if you ask me

He's probably had the most efforts on target of the whole team this season, the RWB needs to learn to attack the far post a bit better like he does

What you you reckon to Godden playing out in the channel 40 yards from goal?

Eccles has a cracking long ball in his locker, as he used early on to put Gyokeres away. He just needs to not let his head drop, seen when he didn't best first man with a cross. There are enough fans getting on his back without him joining them.

Waghorn playing fine as an individual but he’s not a natural 10 at least not on his one. Positioning and movement not right, yet at least.

Same with Eccles when attacking. Either too tucked in or too far forward.

Positive is we have Palmer, Dabo, Hamer and Taveres (poss Walker) who can all change a game depending on how they’re feeling on the day of course.
