I don’t mind what formation we play, even a vintage 2-3-5 but if we play Simms up front, then he needs someone else alongside him. Too often, we have Simms working centrally but wider players and midfielders aren’t joining him fast enough.

Get fit soon, Sheaf. We can’t afford weakness in midfield and sadly, now there is a risk he will be sold for a cut-price in the summer, to stop him running his contract down. I think it unlikely he will sign a new contract

Agree. I think the club were gambling on Gyokeres moving……and probably still are. As for midfielders, the club made moves for at least 3 midfielders but in each case, the players turned City down. Or rather, elected to go elsewhere

I guess it’s possible that FL has to get the wage bill down before he can bring in new players.

Graeme Bailey has a reasonable record but I doubt LCFC will be allowed to spend during January, given some of the PSL restrictions

Intriguing stuff, we have been waiting for FL to get a chance to add to the squad in January. But as he tries to bring in a couple of loans, he also has to face the risk of losing MVE, Wright and Sheaf.
