    Ben Sheaf to Leeds?

It was never a long term solution but watching Dennis Wise and Don Hutchinson play for City was instructive. You could see them constantly using their experience to drag the team with them

    Relegation Battle?

Yeah absolutely agree, comes with the turf

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Dean Austin could do a lot of damage given £25 million to spend 👺

    Recoupable amount

Not just a question of trying to assess their value but also finding clubs wanting to sign them. Also factor in the current thinking that prices in English football will start to drop, as financial restrictions squeeze the top clubs. That’s just a theory floating around but it makes sense.

    Less and less arsed

Unlike the OP, I have no contacts at all inside the club but I suspect Sheaf is already “gone” in terms of CCFC being prepared to do a deal. I have no idea about MVE, although a Turkish colleague says the interest is real. My concern is that King won’t want to buy during January and loans will...

    Less and less arsed

Not disagreeing with your points but I don’t believe there will be significant transfer activity in January. I fear the club will just paper over the cracks and wait for the end of the season.

    Relegation Battle?

sense of humour fail ;) But rather than that, than the “loser” attitude which generates massive expectations, then an equally massive sulk

    The one good thing

I said “register” not “never heard of”. At the moment, some fans don’t even know we were in the top flight. It was that long ago

    We look poor

Dont disagree at all but what concerns me is that Lampard can only deliver a couple of “promising” performances.

    Relegation Battle?

As a seasoned, third generation City fan, every season is a relegation battle.

    The one good thing

I still fear that we won’t spend much, unless players are sold.

    The one good thing

Sorry, don’t agree. We don’t even register with some fans, in the UK or abroad. Always took great pride in supporting City, a small club, who stuck it out for decades in the top flight.

    We look poor

We haven’t actually spent it yet. We still owe millions for Simms, Wright, MVE etc

    The one good thing

We are only one generation away from being a Monty Python joke

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Pretty successful model. Better than King’s

    Relegation Battle?

Money to spend on transfer fees? or money to spend on new players wages……

    Asante

BTA seemed to be a panic buy. He was about to go elsewhere and City rushed in. And we are stuck with him. Odd how no other club wants to sign our shit players
  18. D

    The one good thing

I would suggest the club will have to wait now until the end of the window to see who leaves before we buy……with all the risks that includes. Notwithstanding the club has also issued regular hints about loans only

    The one good thing

We were never more than that anyway, even at the start of the season
