Rooney had a first touch, ability to link up and vision. You need something extra if you're going to be a weighty footballer. It's like having a lad with 20 finishing on Football Manager but with less than adequate physical attributes.

I just feel like if he conditions himself a little bit and shifts a little weight it'll take him up a level. He's by no means out of shape, don't get me wrong. I just think if you compare his physique to that of your average higher level footballer, he's got a bit of work to do.

Does anyone ever look at pictures of Ponticelli, like the ones of today's game, and think that he could do with shifting a little timber?

Will be an unpopular opinion but no thanks. I feel like League One is a step up in terms of athletisism which Billy doesn't have. My prediction is that players like Kee and Akinfenwa will be significantly less effective this season.

I'm hoping we move in for Danny Rose now. Reckon he'd be a decent signing. Perhaps not as prolific but he's got a few good attributes to his game from what I've seen (minus throwing himself to the floor on minimal contact)

It's his movement that I'll miss more than anything. The runs he makes are fantastic and cause all kinds of problems in defence. Think we've got some good players coming in though and there will be more creativity this year what with Andreu, Jones and Allessani coming in. So like someone said...
