So? You don't get your league position from one game. We didn't look great on Sunday, but doesn't mean we haven't been over the season.

Much as it makes me feel a bit dirty sticking up for them, but they're playing the form team in the division (who have just beaten Arsenal) and haven't lost many this season. The table doesn't lie, they're as good as their position.

Got a lot of time for Hyam, he's played a huge part in getting us to where we are now, but..... no.

Tbf, they're a lot stronger than we were at that point.

    Quiz- Ballon d'Or

Lampard, surely. Vik has been nominated, and presumably got points. Player manager; Terry Butcher? I know he was an established international, but does the Balloon Door have a blood-soaked clogger category? Phil Neal? He won a stupid amount of trophies. Dennis Mortimer, perhaps; Mark...

Won't be easy; they've not really folded for anyone recently. We can't take the piss. Strongest team until it's in the bag.

    Game of the Season 25/26

Middlesbrough away. A genuine humdinger of a game and a superb advert for the division.

He was much better in the second half, but balls into the box were terrible.

They moved the ball out of defence quickly very well.

    Hull Player Ratings

Sakamoto was excellent. Kitching was good, Dasilva and Grimes, too. Wright, Torp and Onyeka poor. As someone pointed out in the match thread, second game of the long weekend after a gruelling international week. Shouldn't be too critical, really.

I thought he did ok; it should have been the linesman pulling up the handball.

That was a frustrating game to watch; a fair few poor performances in there, and very poor as an attacking threat. But, if you don't play well, don't lose. Saka was superb, our only real bright point going forward, and Kitching had a good game, too. Meh. Take it.

Yeah, sometimes you just have to give some credit to the opposition; this is a massive game for them, and they're throwing everything at it.

First 25 or 30 minutes of that were awful. After MvE looked so good on Friday, he's been awful tonight. So has Wright; he's not had much to work with, but has been very poor nonetheless. We've made some odd decisions at the back, too. Superb block from Kitching, mind. Needs to be a lot better...

That was a proper cowardly challenge. It's silly that he can't get a ban just because the referee booked him. The ref didn't realise it was worse than he thought, fair enough, but doesn't mean he should get away with it.

    Last open play penalty save

It was. Since promotion back to the Championship, that has been the only unsuccessful penalty against us. It's been annoying me for a while. In that first season back, we conceded something like 11 penalties, too. Even the two penalty shoot outs that we faced up until the Cup semi had 100%...

    England B

Not City related, but this thread has caused me to learn that the all time England B top scorer is the splendidly named Bedford Jezzard.
