Or put it another way, he'll give them some cash, every penny of which will go to running the club - paying wages, running the academy etc. That's not validation of what they have done is it? Surely that's just supporting your football club?
What? In that case, why haven't they all switched to supporting city already?
Because they're NUNEATON - it is their football club and they are very proud of it. So in short, they would never agree to it.
End of thread. The end. Nothing to see here...
Nobody.
Why would Nuneaton sacrifice their football club (they wouldn't, and most of their fans hate us anyway), and why would we want them too?
Worst idea since the helicopter ejector seat.
I have no idea what your point is. What are you trying to say?
That the club are in debt? Yes, massively. That CCFC in all its corporate guises has a poor credit status? Yes, we know that too. Poor credit is only a problem if you need to borrow money, and that is not a problem because they...
What does that prove? Of course companies linked to CCFC have poor credit status, but it hardly matters if the beneficial owner is prepared to provide the funding necessary to stay in business.
SISU Capital have a 5 star credit rating, in fact they have the highest credit rating I have ever...
We're not going to have a whole season of this are we? The stay away hordes demonising those who choose to go to games? Not sure I'm up for all that jazz. How long before people start using the word 'scab'?
Do you think starting a new club at the very bottom is easier than forcing SISU to sell the current one to new owners?
If we play at the Ricoh next season the new club thing will not take off. Play in Walsall for an extended period and it could gain momentum - but nothing could be done before...
Not really, but this was part of the offer put to the administrator so I'm pretty sure its true, it also means there is no need for a CVA. I imagine they have done it through gritted teeth but they had no option but to pay ACL in full as I see it.
Everything has its price. I think SISU porbably do have a walk away figure. Whether anyone can meet that (or rather if they're willing to) remains to be seen. It is the only hope left. Perhaps Byng knew what was about to happen and he is genuine when he says they will renew their interest...
It was a bluff. ACL called it. A shit storm followed and here we are.
The club will survive though. Years from now we'll look back at this sorry debacle and wonder how on earth it came to this. People saying 'that's it' are just fishing for compliments and sympathy. Emotions are running...
Just because he will continue to support the team doesn't mean he'll be going to watch them in Walsall. Are you saying that not only should we not go to watch them outside Coventry, but we should actually stop supporting them altogether? Boycott away games too?
Yeah, in a CT Q&A on 24/5 TF said:
"We have put forward proposals to the administrator which would see all creditors at the date of the administration paid in full, including ACL."
Guess that's the only way to avoid the scenario outlined by duffer.
