One thing I noticed was how the game was less physical than the Championship. Sure there were a few tussles but on the whole Simms and Wright weren’t knocked over so much and the likes of Palmer could run with the ball more. It suited us.

The trouble with that is that people who favour the FA cup don’t get to go to the playoff games…

And btw Tavares deserves some credit for today and for the last few games. He’s only had a few bits and pieces but has always given 100% and has made some impact. I wish the lad well.

There is a general push to promote the game to a female audience and to develop the women’s game. Suits broadcasters and football to have more people interested. So it’s not really that surprising.

This game seems to have less excitement about it than previous cup games. A weird one. Where’s all the people that think the FA cup is more important than getting promoted? I hope the players have their dander up…..
