What would be pointless is staying with a manager who when given a load of money assembled a mess of an unmotivated squad, with problems all over the pitch and an inability to do the basics. We are in a relegation fight largely because of Robin's failure.

It concerns me a bit that Lampard seems to be in the dour, serious Robins mould rather than an extrovert motivator. Seems these players need a shot of energy and enthusiasm.

What a weird nonsense post. Robins got us in a really poor situation and looked to have no idea what to do. Action had to be taken to try and turn it around. Keep Robins to manage us better on League 1. What a load of bollocks.

You do realise there are a number of old threads on poor atmosphere? Home form has been poor for a long time. It's gonna have an effect obviously.

Frank sounds a bit depressed already... But spoke well. I hope he can lift and motivate these players. They all seem so flat and miserable at the moment.

The assembled playing squad is the manager's responsibility. Obviously.

What do you expect him to say? 'Robins spent all the money on assembling a shit squad and we have no chance for years'? (That's probably the truth). But the Chairman has to offload the failed manager and keep it as positive as he can.

He created this mess and was lost what to do about it. Move on.

What quality players will be available and will want to come here in the January window? And we do need quality not more of the same...

Well he spent and assembled this squad and got them into this position over months.

If Lampard turns this around I will be seriously impressed. We are a shambles all over the pitch.

Our CM is really poor. Slow, poor at covering our defence and poor at progressing us forward.

Decent team as long as Saka plays wide right.

Hope Saka plays wide right and Rudoni plays instead of Torp. That can give us more of a spark. And if we press please attack the ball don't just sit off and stifle them, like we did at Burnley. Force a mistake.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Simms upfront. Hope he knows about the MVE, Saka combo. And that EMC plays on the left and Rudoni isn't a wingback. I guess he will play JDS if we want to attack a lot (I'd prefer Bidwell given our defensive issues). Please fullbacks do their defensive jobs...

He hasn't personally done any of those things buddy. He too often loses concentration and produces a very poor loose pass to the opposition in a dangerous situation. Too often an accident waiting to happen and a bit of a loose canon. He's not the only one though. I'd give him another go...

Kitching had a few chances this season and messed up so was dropped. His clangers tend to be bad ones. But Binks is poor so whatever give him another go. Hardly an embarrassment of riches. Getting fullbacks to stop balls being pulled back into the box would be helpful to the centre backs...
