EFL manager and player of the month nominations

We have already had our Manager Of The Month slump in the last 2 games, we are good to go again now. Really good anticipation by FL and the team.

Can we get to 50 points

Back at the start of November getting to 50 points by the end of 2025 was seen by most posters as ambitious at the least. 4 games to go, 3 at home, 6 points required. It's still very possible.

Match Thread Coventry City - Bristol City FC Match Thread - Saturday 13th Dec

The stats don't suggest we were knackered. Possibly 1 or 2 players suffering after effects or minor symptoms of the bug.

Match Thread Coventry City - Bristol City FC Match Thread - Saturday 13th Dec

I would stick with Wright up front, even though he has hit a spell of not scoring he carved the defence open several times last night and would probably have scored 2 if he wasn't fouled. One where their player was sent off, and the header when he was flattened by their no. 14. The one he put in...

    Transfer Rumour Charlie Hughes

Last night's game should have been a clean sheet if we hadn't got complacent and thought the game was won, with a back 3 in the first half we looked solid but that's not our normal game plan, which is to score more goals than the opposition, simple as that.

Match Thread Preston North End FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Dec

I deliberately didn't say it should have been as penalty, although I've seen them given for a push in the box. But my post was responding to a poster saying if only he could head a ball, not as easy as it looked when being flattened from behind. Edit: the Sky highlights give a better view of it...

Haji was pushed in the back by their no.14 for the headed chance he missed.

Match Thread Ipswich Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 6th Dec

Yes, midweek is difficult for them as well, with Millwall V Derby, Stoke V Ipswich, Bristol V Leicester, but Preston has the most difficult game.

Match Thread Ipswich Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 6th Dec

I was thinking more of the media and the neutrals who we are attracting a lot of interest from. Let's see what the team is, of course we can win but we aren't favourites with the bookies like we normally are.

Match Thread Ipswich Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 6th Dec

We just need Millwall to not win to keep us at least 10 points ahead of 3rd no matter what our result. If we are missing 3 or 4 normal starters we probably aren't really expected to win, so it takes a bit of pressure off us.

    Slowerthanplatt

For some reason he is the sort of poster who gets noticed when he doesn't post, he has gone missing more than once I think. I always thought he is a very knowledgeable poster https://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/slowerthanplatt.139010/ Maybe he regularly spends time in prison 🤷‍♂️

    Ipswich Team?

Only Stoke has conceded less than us, Ipswich the same. We conceded 6 in the 5 November games including being away against 2nd (twice although Stoke didn't score) We conceded 5 in the 6 October games which includes the 3 Wrexham scored against our reserve defence. I don't think that's too much...

    Taking the next 3 games

They are our ultimate bogey team, but bogey teams seem to be like manager of the month awards, they don't seem to affect us these days.

    For any remaining non-believers

Sheff Wednesday worry me, they only need 3.36 ppg to get to 90

    Taking the next 3 games

I don't know why but I feel confident we will beat Preston.

    Championship home record under Frank

So we have 14 home games left to play. Hypothetically let's say we win 10, draw 2 lose 2. Given our record that sounds plausible. That's 32 points added to our 43 =75. That leaves us to find somewhere between 12 and 15 points from our 14 away games. Even if we said win 9 at home and lose the...

    Championship thread 25/26!

Millwall 3rd with a GD of -3 They won't be there long so (other than Boro) we are at least 13 points ahead of any team with serious auto ambitions.
