    Just A Blip?

I didn't say the "blip" didn't happen, but the thread was questioning whether it was a blip or a blowout. Interestingly, looking at the bigger picture regarding our away form, we have won 10 of our 20 away games and are 1 point worse off than Millwall who are top of the away form table.

The problem is, we can only prove them wrong if we don't get promoted.

    Just A Blip?

Having read this thread through again I thought it would be interesting compare the results of the first half of the season with the second half. Obviously it would be better to do this at the end of the season, so I have taken games 1 to 20 and compared them with results from games 21 to 40...

    10 more wins does it

This is what gives statistics a bad name, it's probably a rounding up issue, below 100 but too small to register. Either that or they have run the forecasts through a computer, say, 10000 times and it has shown no result other than us being promoted.

They have a few players unavailable as we probably have, it depends on squad player performance to a certain extent.

    Championship thread 25/26!

Boro can only reach 89 points now, and Millwall 90. But we have a +31 GD over Millwall so in reality 3 wins and a draw maximum does it. I still say 87 will be enough

    Sakamoto

By Sherwood's own admission he predicted Sunderland would come straight back down, so his record of predictions isn't very good.

I watched highlights of every game we played since the 98/99 season

I agree, but there was an inaugral list of teams which formed the original FA Carling Premiership, of which we were one, so on that basis I guess you could argue either way.

I watched highlights of every game we played since the 98/99 season

Yes it's true, the only thing I will add is it's a moot point as to whether the premier league and the premiership are different, as the name changed in 2007 only due to sponsorship change.

They also have 8 players on international duty, it remains to be seen what, if any, impact that has on their next 2 games.

Hull have been hit by injuries to Giles, Gyabi, & Jacob who are all expected back by the next game.

    10 more wins does it

Ipswich are the only team to do the double over us, so we won't want Wrexham to join that club.

    10 more wins does it

Wednesday's 1 win was against Portsmouth on 20th September, game week 6. If they beat us assuming they don't win a game before then that would end a 35 match run without a win. Surely a record, and another one for the history books in our record breaking season.

    10 more wins does it

Sheff W. is just another game, we have 7 left. I wouldn't be surprised if we are unbeaten in the remaining games but I would be very surprised if we lose more than 1 or 2.
