Luke Shaw signs for Man Utd

On a reputed £160,000 per week, not bad for a nineteen year old or is this yet another example of football becoming yet further out of touch with the long suffering supporter?

Safe result to put your money on.

    England v Uruguay

Felt he played far too deep is if he had no confidence in our defence. He offered none of his normal attacking threat.

    England v Uruguay

I think you'd have found that most other nations would have done just that but thankfully we're not normally that cynical.

    World cup opening

Really felt for Croatia. Perfectly good goal disallowed, cruel penalty decision and the ref was perfectly positioned. Also felt that a Croation player was fouled in the run up to Brazil's third. Rerun the score Brazil 1 Croatia 2!

Where will England finish in the World Cup?

After a tight final against Germany we'll emerge as winners after extra time and penalties. I also predict that we will be back at The Ricoh next season and runaway leaders in Division One. ;)

    World Cup Squad

Pretty average squad with no potential match winners amongst them. Would have taken Adam Johnson who's had a superb season at Sunderland.

Who will stay for next season

Wingy, I much more reasoned response as opposed to our Torchy who didn't have the balls to call me an outright liar! I'm just reporting info from a friend who seems to have a reliable inside source as I've no reason to make things up. Regarding Micky Adams, that was purely my own wild...

Who will stay for next season

I've heard from a reliable source that SISU intend to significantly reduce the players budget which is pretty obvious to most but more significantly Waggot and Presley have stated that should this come to pass they will walk. Don't be surprised if Micky Adams, still lives locally and currently...

    £7m in wages

Interesting but I would take those figures with a pinch of salt as the reported average UK full time salary in 2009/2010 was £24900 as opposed to the £34112 listed in the table which throws doubts as to the other figures quoted.

    Tranmere Ratings

According to Tranmere's assistant manager "Steve Jennings was fantastic. He's everything you want from a footballer on the field and off it. He calms things down... I call him the fire blanket because when there are little fires on the pitch he goes and dampens them down and smooths things...

Wingy, couldn't agree more mate. Sad innit.

    Euro 2016 - England's group

Do you qualify to play for them if you've visited The Rock on a day trip from Marbella? In which case put me down for right midfield as there can't be many other contenders!;) I thought the inclusion of San Marino was always a bit absurd but Gibralter lol!

    Tranmere Ratings

It's not balls he needs but players, you won't score goals with no strikers in the team. I have great sympathy for SP at the moment and if a better offer came along I wouldn't hold it against him if he leaves, unlike the way blue blooded Robins did a runner.

Rooney £300k per week: You really couldn't make it up

Apologies, meant to put this on "Football and Other Sports". Nick could you please move it?

Rooney £300k per week: You really couldn't make it up

Rooney has just signed a new four year contract on almost £300K per week. An incredible wage for a pretty mediocre footballer who is hardly even a good role model. Do you find this offensive to the ordinary football fan?
