Introduced because demand significantly exceeded supply.
We’re only now reaching a similar scenario for home games.
Surely straight forward to implement and fair in the same way that the away points system is fair.
Derby and Sheff Weds games already sold out.
it’s going to be carnage for non-STHs trying to get Portsmouth and Wrexham tickets.
I really hope they use the points system to make it fair otherwise what’s the, um, point?
I’ll be amazed if we need 7 more points for 2nd.
That would mean 2 of the following happening
Ipswich 18 from 8
Millwall 18 from 7
Middlesbrough 16 from 7
With 2 more head to heads to play between them.
I know this sounds like the ramblings of a mad man but I will be gutted if I don't get to witness Grimes lifting the trophy, and wouldn't accept 2nd if it was offered to me now. I'd rather it plays out. We have got such an advantage. Everybody other than Coventry fans have already conceded...
Ewood Park holds 31K according to Wiki yet they only get about 10K home fans every week. Just fuck them all into the away end and give us the rest of the stadium.
It's highly likely we would be still be top even if we lose all 3! I'm not sure in that scenario I'd be confident of us picking ourselves up to win the league on the back of 4 straight losses though.
If it looks like it could be a day of consequence there isn't a hope in hell it reaches non-STHs. Which is gutting as I have already booked a Premier Inn room (thankfully a flexible one which can be cancelled).
