As someone pointed out in the match thread, second game of the long weekend after a gruelling international week. Shouldn't be too critical, really.
That was a frustrating game to watch; a fair few poor performances in there, and very poor as an attacking threat. But, if you don't play well, don't lose.
Saka was superb, our only real bright point going forward, and Kitching had a good game, too.

First 25 or 30 minutes of that were awful. After MvE looked so good on Friday, he's been awful tonight. So has Wright; he's not had much to work with, but has been very poor nonetheless. We've made some odd decisions at the back, too. Superb block from Kitching, mind.

It's silly that he can't get a ban just because the referee booked him. The ref didn't realise it was worse than he thought, fair enough, but doesn't mean he should get away with it.

Since promotion back to the Championship, that has been the only unsuccessful penalty against us. It's been annoying me for a while.
In that first season back, we conceded something like 11 penalties, too.
Even the two penalty shoot outs that we faced up until the Cup semi had 100%...

Some of the best football songs are utterly random, and are all the better for that.
It's just salty opposition fans, no need to take it personally. A good riposte would have been, 'you're shit now that Cloughie's gone'.
