    My concern with Robins

Thing is our recruitment does look poor and many on here have criticised the recruitment personnel. Why would it be any different in January?

    I trust Mark Robins

Simply for balance - If we lose we'll be 9 points behind. We're 19 points off 2nd place.

    Ohare contract

    Did I say that?

    Ohare contract

Because a short term contract extension gives the injured player one less thing to worry about during his rehabilitation and makes him grateful to the club rather than thinking that his employers are a load of bastards. In the grand scheme of things it wouldn't have cost a lot would it?

    Ohare contract

Not necessarily. If Burnley get relegated and Kompany moves on (pushed or jumps) then the situation changes.

    Strikers Who Came Good

    It was hardly hysterical!

    Strikers Who Came Good

    Perhaps not!

    I trust Mark Robins

...and only 6 points above the relegation zone having performed abysmally against one of the teams in it. Still - don't want him out either, but you can take different positions using statistics.

Would D K wield the axe?

That is the crucial thing. With all due respect what does Doug know about picking a manager (or anyone else at the club for that matter). It's a very rapid way to blow a lot of money in a short space of time (which we have already done once) because inevitably a new man/woman will want to...

Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Wednesday 4th Oct

Last time I go on holiday and 'watch' a match on here. It can't have been as bad as you're all saying.

    Strikers Who Came Good

    Ellis Simms.

    Let’s face it.

Not sure we'll get a good cup run - Robins doesn't seem to think they're important.

    The season ahead......

Robins might want to play Godden because he's the joint top scorer in the league.

    ..... or not!

    Operation Premiership

If we lose tomorrow you mean.

    Hamer

From our point of view quite possibly. From his, there were a number of clubs after him and why wouldn't he want his salary to reflect that?
  17. S

    Hamer

    No - It's a matter of negotiation.
  18. S

    Hamer

It is true really. Ellis Simms would surely say to the club that if you're willing to offer £8m for me you need to back that up with a proper salary offer. He's not coming for 10K a week is he?
  19. S

    Hamer

It's a possibility. However - If we ended up 10th he would leave for free and we wouldn't be as attractive a prospect for people coming in (and we wouldn't have any additional cash to buy). Not saying that's going to happen but it's all a gamble isn't it?
