Getting excited for this one ;). Believe we have more then enough to build a run with another home win!

    Was the Godiva statue moved?

Must have just been missed on the footage (seemed odd it would be moved / demolished). Thanks for answer

    Was the Godiva statue moved?

Haven't lived in Cov for a 20+yrs so haven't seen much of the changes, but saw a walkabout vid of the town centre and the Godiva statue seemed to be missing. What happened?

This feels very winnable, especially after a solid confidence builder. Same starters to last game. Bidders and Lati really help settle the back line. Hopefully EMC if fit, but how far is Hadji off from return? Asante plays if not and maybe Rodrigues gets a cameo too, noticed he made the bench...

Match Thread Portsmouth FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Dec

I watched on Sky and and turned it off with 20 to go. Never done that before and hope I'm not minded to ever do it again. Just couldn't sit there waiting for a consolation goal that looked more and more unlikely. We were robbed of entertainment and the team spirit ruined thoroughly.

No but it's a good start in this case surely? I find it ridiculous that when you have height advantage because, you know allowed to use arms/hands, specialised gloves to adhere to the ball, and protection from the ref if being impeded, to then choose to constantly punch, irratically changing the...

    Christmas wishlist

Before a tough away fixture at Norwich (hard to be optimistic about that one), 3 quite winable games that might just get us to 33 points and surely much closer to play-off territory. Not being silly about this, but the next 2 weeks could potentially flip the season to one where we're looking at...

Passing Backwards and Going the Same Way

    It's an interesting point and I do hope the only stat that matters is WDL, but I am reminded of this;

Just to add to this, it's not always about the quality of the pass but also movement to receive it. I think everyone gets frustrated when we see the CB's pass between themselves only to get the ball back immediately if they go wide. The issue for a while has been poor movement to create space...

    Rub of the green perhaps?

Most teams play a high press and Millwall certainly did. Think we dealt with it very well especially as our movement (as a team) seems to be a focus from the new coaching set up. Those passes look risky, but less so with fluid movement (difficult to predict pass intention). Previously to LF...

He struggled to get in the game with two marking him. Not his fault as such and little to get onto in a slow first half.

Well said, even during first half where we showed we were going to compete the wetters were getting ready. Thought the system looked a lot better from the off today. Some beds have been saved today! Also agree, EMC and Assante both offer a real physical presence that has been missing. To some...

Completely agree, wont be marauding down the wing much, but the left always seems more competent with him there and now rudoni takes up space to offer an option, think Bidwell starts

Really liking the balance with threats from both sides. Movement is much better too and even defensively we're looking more organised (especially in the midfeild). All in all really happy with improvements so far. Now get this corner in the bag!

I'm just outside London and it's not bad at all. A few gusts and a bit wet, wouldn't stop a park game, let alone one in a stadium.
