Toure sacked after 9 games, and fans on the forum suggesting they might reappoint Richardson, whom they sacked to appoint Toure! Incidentally, Toure was on a 3.5 year deal and refused to leave mutually, so they'll be paying for him and his sidekicks for a bit, too. Surely going down.

Have a feeling the game might be similar to Cardiff and Bristol, in that they won't pose much of a threat but may be stubborn. By all accounts they have improved at the back, but struggled up front. Interested to see how Rudoni plays, that we were linked with at one point.

Sorba Thomas now gone to Blackburn on loan. That's 3 of their better players from last season who won't be facing us - Thomas, O'Brien and Russell, who doesn't seem to play as much now.

That was my point -- Vik was so, so during his loan, but we obviously saw enough to think we could develop him. As you say, that's the ideal, as if McNally plays like Bobby Moore for the duration, we won't get a sniff.

Over the moon that Sorba Thomas looks like he's off on loan (to Blackburn?) as his dead ball delivery is/was (imo) one of their main threats. Although they've replaced him with Knockhaert, I think he's had an injury/barely match fit.

We also had this with Vik, too - for balance. Didn't work out so badly!

I like the fact that he seems to have an aerial presence, and is an attacking threat too.

What it does mean is that when, his tenure comes to an end, he will be easier to dislodge than SISU (unless they have some sort of first dibs on buy back - please God, no) so hopefully, should he be out of his depth, a 'better'. more affluent owner may be able to be found. Hopefully King Doug...

After we'd lost 4-0 at Rotherham back in L1, half (or more) of this forum were crucifying Fadz on here, and for quite a while, saying he was past it. 3 seasons later and we can't do without him. Football fans!
