£61m of debt wiped out in latest CCFC accounts

How much will it cost to access non match day revenues either at the Ricoh or elsewhere? When does that investment pay for itself?

£61m of debt wiped out in latest CCFC accounts

The rental deal agreed with ACL certainly is good. You wonder whether it was negotiated by ACL with the Wasps deal in mind, it was never going to be their problem to give up 50% of match day income. I personally think the club should drop the pursuit of a new stadium and pursue 100% of CCFC...

£61m of debt wiped out in latest CCFC accounts

You'd imagine that even with the Wilson money the club will be in a break even position at best this year.

    In the interests of balance.........

In what respect? Is it not the case that the council has made what appear to be conflicting statements? I must admit I do think the headlines are a bit OTT but then nobody would read the story otherwise.

    In the interests of balance.........

Les Reid is a political journalist reporting on the local council. Not sure why he needs to balance this against the local football club.

Council Accused Of 'Absurd' Ricoh Secrecy

Because he doesn't need to. They keep answering the questions publicly but changing their answer. Why would an FOI request be any different?

Council Accused Of 'Absurd' Ricoh Secrecy

In an interesting parallel, been a bit of furore over Lancashire County Cricket Club receiving prudential borrowing from Trafford Council to fund the building of a hotel (at least it's building something and not just a refinancing deal). Of course, the cricket clubs CEO is arch Thatcherite and...

    Question Mark over Academy

Where the land come from is relevant. I have a feeling the land may be subject to a covenant that means it can't be used for much other than as a sports ground with permitted public use.

    Question Mark over Academy

I thought it was a charity? Wasn't the land gifted to them by the council? It was previously a municipal sports ground.

We need a mobile central midfielder. We don't need any more wingers unless they play JOB in the centre.

    Barnsley Tonight

Poor tonight. Mowbray has got a task on his hands. Too many players just have no impact. Barton and Fleck being the main ones. We desperately need a box to box midfielder who can carry the ball forward.

Everybody should reset .... Get behind the team, manager and dare I say it .... SISU

Like the 4 year contract for Pressley or long term deals for junk like David Bell. You do understand there are 2 parties to a contract? With Pressley's track record in the transfer market is it not a good thing that most of the dross we've got are on short term deals?
