    To Stay or Go

I think the shortest official length of lease is 10years but the FL have already accepted the Ricoh as our temporary home and have allowed us to take a shorter deal so it's now a non point.

    I don't and I never suggested they weren't.

So you don't believe what's written in the blog?

Because in just over 1 year they have the option to boot us out. The closer we get to that point and then the end of extended two year period should we get it the weaker our bargaining position becomes. What it ends up as largely depends on SISU's ability to negotiate.

Well seeing as the council sold its half it clearly was.

We need a ten year deal at the Ricoh if we are going to build anew and now is the time to negotiate. With the speed SISU are moving at we better put an option in for another ten years while we're at it. :)

    An offer to SISU

I don't know. Both Fisher and Waggot look partial to a doughnut and like they buy their wardrobes from Primark. He could be onto something ;)

    An offer to SISU

OK. Thanks for letting us know though.

The cost of any extension would depend on when you're planning on building it. For example it will cost more in twenty years time than it will in ten years time so it's a very difficult comparison to make. How longs a piece of string. It's the king of revenue that the club can directly...

They didn't ever bid for the councils half so I can't see how that's possible.

Did they ever test that theory? No, I didn't think so. Why not? It seems to me testing that theory would have been a huge PR win for SISU if they had have tabled a bid similar to Wasps bid with an extended lease for the councils share. It also would have protected the Ricoh from Wasps bid. The...

Again. With good reason. That's not my fault. What we do know is what facilities the Ricoh has and what Wasps value it at and we have a budget of roughly two thirds of that from SISU for their stadium which I doubt will have two thirds the facilities, definitely won't have two thirds of the...

    To Stay or Go

It will put more money in the bank than anything else other than the TV money.

    To Stay or Go

We might as well built it bigger in the first place. It would probably be cheaper than building smaller and expanding anyway.

    To Stay or Go

I'm saying that if we were in the PL we'd potentially be getting twice as many at the Ricoh. Alot is made of other income streams but lets not kid ourselves ticket revenue is King for putting money in the bank.

Every hotel in the land pretty much has meeting rooms and conference facilities plus somewhere to stay before or after. It's a saturated market. The new ground isn't going to rent there's out every day. For 365 days a year income you need more. Why do you think the Ricoh has so much?

Still be limited though to 16000 or whatever the capacity TF is arguing is enough at the moment.

Not sure that's true. Not sure if its still the case but I remember us (Rugby) winning the title of the town with the highest % of single mums in the UK about 20 years ago.
