Me too.
i just keep thinking relegation. This team just seems to have it rubber stamped all over it. 2 wins in 13, letting late goals in, playing inexperienced kids, small squad, scoring at less than a goal a game.
We all know that we have no resources, are playing kids and that it was always looking like being a relegation scrap. It is therefore hard enough for us anyway without then having a manager making crucial errors to boot. We need all the help we can get.
Two subs on Saturday may have made all...
Thing is, if we weren't scoring an average of less than a goal a game we wouldn't be having this conversation. When we are on top in matches we are not putting teams away.
Not saying I disagree with you, but there has been many a club relegated playing 'good football.' Might be nice to watch but it doesn't automatically bring you points does it.
Interesting to note that for all our possession football the stats from Saturday are as follows;
Possession...
This was kind of my feeling too. Think we can ignore most of the defeats as it is plain to see what Thorn has to work with. What we don't need though is more baffling stuff like on Saturday where we just sat back and said to Burnley, go on then see if you can get a second.
Have totally backed Thorn and don't want to see him sacked. What happened on Saturday though I found very worrying. Plain for all to see from the stands what needed to happen. Why on earth Thorn couldn't see that I have no idea.
Been a bugbear of mine for an eternity.
All you are doing when bringing 10 men back is clearing the ball out straight back to the opposition. i noticed when we played Reading that at one point for a corner they left two men up. Fair play to them for that.
Bottom line is that we have no idea whether Thorn is a good manager or not. Too early yet. If he makes more mistakes like he did on Saturday though and we could know sooner rather than later.
