Stone roses to release new single

I'm a big Stone Roses fan but the new song is crap. It sounds like one of the ubiquitous brit pop era bands. Ian Brown has made much better solo stuff than that drivel.

    Sky Blue Trust statement

Glad I'm not a member. I don't welcome the judgment just acknowledge it. Despite that I wish the court actions stop.

Fair enough.....although it seems to sort of contradict the idea that the council then HAD to loan money to ACL to protect its investment in shares, if it ultimately could dispose of those shares for nothing, if it liked.... Never mind, it's pointless going on about it now. The argument for JR2...

    Mean while back in court

Tony - the council justified its loan on the basis of supposed (present and future) profitability of ACL (remember all the washing its face crap). It was some time after and nothing to do with the rent strike, it was in 2014 whilst the club were playing in Northampton. This was shown to be...

    Mean while back in court

Yeah. It took Greenland 3 years from referendum to withdrawal, that was in the 1980s when the EU was simpler than it is now. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't formally withdraw until say 2020. Part of the reason for that is that the European funding that Britain accesses is drawn in...

Meanwhile whilst the CT bask in the glory of the council 'win'

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/greater-birmingham-consultation-blasted-inadequate-11327080 It'd be lovely if Simon could video his analysis of this with comment from Ann Lucas and George Duggins.

    Mean while back in court

The same influence it has at the moment for the timebeing I think, the referendum doesn't mean an instant brexit, it means that the government are being instructed to open negotiations to brexit, it'll take years imo.

Is that the key to JR2 - the defence of protecting an asset is contradicted by selling it to Wasps.

    Mean while back in court

I'd rather stick with SISU then be taken over by Wasps to be honest.
  13. fernandopartridge

    Mean while back in court

As much as I can see the merits in SISU's case, I do wish a line could be drawn under it now. Carry on trying to get the club into a self-sufficient position, negotiate (as much as it pains me to say it) the best possible deal with Wasps/ACL and cut your losses by making the club available for...

    FL Family Experience Award

It would be nice for the local paper to acknowledge it though wouldn't it, for the esteem of those involved as much as the club

    Premiership Relegation

Indeed, it's arguable that there are plenty of clubs in the Championship who are bigger (in fanbase and historical terms) than many Premier League teams. It'll be a real battle there next season, such a shame we're not in it, would have done wonders for our budget with loads of big away...

    55 Empty Units in Town

The comment is contradictory - they want to drive to a retail park but also prefer to shop in Leamington or Solihull? I think the biggest problem is that excessive pedestrianisation and lack of proper streets. The braindead labour council still believes that the precinct (designed on a 1930s...
