    School Protests

That's true. But then everything will have some bad. This is fundamental to my own home-grown philosophy: accept that there is no perfection and there will always be unhappiness and bullying etc. and make the best of what there is.

    School Protests

Good morning! Went to bed early last night. I aspire to the same thing but without the faith bit. Having said that, I am considering getting involved in the church again. We're moving to a new house opposite a church in a small community and we may go. I think I originally left the church...

You added more later! Why would admitting I don't know enough to hold a position on something so meta and with so little knowledge, mean that I don't believe in anything at all? That's one hell of an abuse of proof by induction.

OK, so we may actually agree with each other but are getting in a muddle because of definition of terms. If that is the definition of an atheist, then what is the definition of an agnostic? Because I call myself an agnostic deliberately because I don't know and have no evidence either way.

    School Protests

I don't pontificate on the existence of a God. My position is quite simple. I think that the human race understands very little about the nature of the Universe and nothing about what, if anything, is outside the Universe. * I don't believe in any of the Gods that humans have imagined...

There is also zero scientific evidence that God does not exist.

Atheism is a religion, IMO. Atheists believe with certainty that there is no God. Prove it. IMO, Agnosticism makes sense.

    School Protests

Gandhi? Suffragettes? Rosa Parks? Berlin Wall? Mandela after his arrest? What doesn't work is violent protest: unless you have greater military power or get lucky (Winter Palace 1917) everyone will dig their heels in, in defiance of the disciples causing mayhem. Despite the best efforts of...

    Will we stay up

Yes. As Nick has already said, Godden is our saviour and will score all the goals we could ever need.

    Allotment/Veg patch

You probably know loads more than me, I'm just self-teaching and making it up as I go along. I agree they look like normal spuds but I always plant them out when they chit (albeit in a different bag in case of disease) and it's always worked out ok.

    School Protests

Interesting, there is an article in this week's Spectator making the same point. I have no problem with anyone believing anything they wish, be it their God or Critical Race Theory. I have a big problem when they start believing that what they think is so important that it has to be forced...

Another good point. Had Godden been available, would he have missed all the opportunities that Max has? Half of those go in and we'd be much higher in the table. Nobody ever expected us to be anywhere much higher than 18th. However, I also wonder if many of those opportunities would have...

I think you are right. Just look at the difference in QPR since last time. However we're not the only club in that position. We were coping in the first few months. Why not now?

So, if I understand correctly, you are agreeing that our passing game has gone to pot and the reason is because our shape and running off the ball is poor? So if that is the case, why doesn't Robins do something about it? Is this a side-effect of Robins deliberately playing a "don't lose"...

    Fitness in General

I don't know enough about fitness to have an opinion on the cause, but my observation is that the biggest issue this year is our passing. Last year our inter-team play was wonderful to watch. We were passing the ball around our opponents and when we got the ball we kept it. This year we are...

    Match Thread QPR

Eccles was the only player that came out of that with any honour. Hamer's been poor for months now.
