    Tactics (Jones)

He set up one or two chances on Tuesday night, he immediately occupied 2 players as they sought to double up on him. This gave Lameiras space inside then.

    No Fire and no Desire

Yes, he was lucky at Celtic as he inherited a very good squad, though in his last year they finished 2nd. His record at Southampton was / is hardly outstanding - yes they got to a cup final but you get nothing for being runner up. He achieved a 35.43% win ratio. Brilliant. His longest spell...

Yes. I wouldn't say it otherwise.

    Torch's Counselling Thread

Like I said elsewhere, sorry to hear this Torchy but then I don't want to sound ridiculously melancholy, there is enough of that on here already. Stay positive and sincere good luck wishes from me. PS - Wasps lost heavily at the weekend

So he's standing on the touchline with his hands in his pockets? So what? Strachan was an animated manager and he was crap. At the end of the day I disagree with the assertion 'it ain't what you do it's the way that you do it'.

Match Thread Coventry v MK Dons Match Thread - Saturday 26th Nov

I'd start 4-2-3-1 (4-3-3) Burge Kelly Evans Willis Turnbull Page Gadzhev Stevenson Lameiras Bigi Reid McBean Subs G Thomas Maycock Kelly Evans Harries Jones Gadzhev might work better as a sitting midfielder. Bigi showed energy and enough to suggest he can play slightly more advanced. I...

I was going to give him a 2, he did have one shot on the turn first half that was goal bound, so gets above a 1 for that! He is dreadful though, one instance in the second half Page was desperate for him to make a run into the channel and he hid before moaning about it to Page.

Burge 7 - improving and generally made the right decisions. Seems to have bulked up which helps him coming for crosses Turnbull 6 - did OK Willis 5 - can't really forgive the basic error for the goal. Needs to be a bit less frantic at times Harries 5 - really struggled and distribution not great...

Deserved a point. Venus not the answer, like I said the other day you can't win games by only playing second half.

Yes, read my posting history for my thoughts on chopping and changing managers. I can see the bounce has dulled and Mowbray's tactical advisor (by Mowbray's admission) is in charge.

All the asset stripping bollocks ignores that we have no less real assets now than when they took over. Selling players isn't selling assets and isn't exclusive to SISU.

The system isn't working. We're still in the game but Bolton look like they can cut through us at will. I'm going to nail my colours to the Venus out mast regardless of tonight's result.

Been better last 10. Sordell should've done better with a half chance then. Just feel as if Bolton have got a goal in them any minute. Harries struggling.

    Investment on the Horizon?

Yes, back up to their average of 2003 when they'd just come out of administration. Their lowest average at the Walkers Bowl since it opened is higher than our highest average since 1979. They also only give away fans a max of 3k tickets so it means they're higher than City still when comparing...
