    Brandon stadium

I think they've done presentations with plans for the site to Brandon residents to try and gain favour with them. From what I can gather there's a lot of resistance to the development of the site for housing from locals to the point where they'd rather see it remain a venue for motorsport and...

Butts not big enough for Speedway

Not the width so much but the bends would add substantially to the length to the points where you could start building stands, if you wanted to build stands that is behind the goals. Cowdenbeath have a track around their pitch but I don't think they run speedway there just four wheeled stox...

    SISU/ARVO appeal turned down

They batter people in court. They haven't lost until they've pursued every possible appeal process.

    SCG meeting questions

Have you got anything constructive to say? Try reading the following posts, the misunderstanding has been cleared up. There's no need to be a dickhead just for the sake of being a dickhead.

    Brandon stadium

The Bee's will be ground sharing at Leicester I believe. They have a track somewhere near Leicester racecourse so its even the wrong side of Leicester. Bee's will just disappear I think unless something gets sorted locally. It's not impossible to open a new short circuit motorsport venue, a...

Mowbray Front runner for Rotherham Job

I hope this turns out to be BS. Last thing we need is ANOTHER change of manager.

    SCG meeting questions

Thanks Stu. I knew there was something just couldn't remember what. I guess it's a share of IEC that the club would need to buy into then to gain a bigger share of the pie money or wouldn't it work like that? That's an open question not specifically one to you Stu.

    SCG meeting questions

Possibly. Not sure to be honest. I thought it was a separate arm of a larger company set up specifically for the Ricoh as it's a joint venture with ACL, ACL having a share in the company? Could be way of in that but if right and ACL have a share is there an opportunity for the club to gain a share?

    SCG meeting questions

Just a thought but is there anything stopping the club looking at the possibility of buying into compass?

    SCG meeting questions

We're there on a deal they inherited. They've made a business case (wether you buy into it or not is a different point) regarding F & B and why there is no more available. I'm just pointing out that there is more than just a bigger share of the F & B. Naming right's just beig one. SISU have an...

    SCG meeting questions

So? It's about exposure, not tenant status. Football is a far higher profile sport than Rugby. The football club brings exposure to the stadium by simply being there, maybe even more as a league 1 football club than Wasps bring as a premiership Rugby club. That brings value to the naming rights...

    Is the Butts deal imminent?

    What? Numb nuts? ;)

    SCG meeting questions

I wasn't expecting the club to be given them for nothing. It would be part of any long term rental agreement linked to the duration of the naming rights deal. West Ham are believed to be getting £1M a year from the naming rights at the Olympic Stadium because the coverage West Ham give the...

    SCG meeting questions

No. Did you miss that they were talking specifically about F & B? I'm talking specifically about naming rights.

    Is the Butts deal imminent?

I didn't say say that numb nuts. Probably why you're trying to make out I did.

    SCG meeting questions

Thanks again Jan. Did anybody mention anything about the naming rights at the Ricoh? Could the club not do something along the lines of what West Ham are doing at the Olympic stadium? i.e. West ham raise the profile therefore making the sponsorship more attractive and then take a cut of the...

    SCG meeting questions

Thanks for the update Jan. If they're talking about the MK model is that basically build a ground to a spec (for arguements sake) of 25K capacity but only fit it out to 15-18K capacity leaving blocks without seats, toilets and F&B facilities and therefore closed until a time when a hifger...

    Is the Butts deal imminent?

No. Which is why I'm against moving to the BPA at 15K with a fingers crossed approach to further expansion. I struggle to see how that's a better option to renting at the Ricoh at this moment in time. Still I'm sure our owners are sharing all the details at the latest SCG and this time next week...

    Is the Butts deal imminent?

I would think leving the Ricoh for the BPA in what is being proposed is more like replacing the telephone with horses and riders. Maybe that's what you, grendull talk about in the pub ;)
