Lee Mills was initially on loan from Pompey. During his first game at HR everyone sang 'Sign him up, sign him up, sign him up'. We did. And, after that, he was crap. But he was not the worst. Lightbourne was clueless

Same as Drinkell the following year. However, Bannister was a far better striker imo.

I thought Bannister, while not prolific like elsewhere, did okay for us.. Edit to add: Just looked myself: 11 in 42 during his second spell.

The Dell was a great little ground but, like you said Torch, the away terrace was pitch level. Remember a great game we won 3-2 there, Don Nardiello scored the winner. Think I remember him playing for West Midlands Police ....funnily enough
