    Cian Harries to Villa

Which is of course clichéd bollocks. The strikers of Leeds and Derby are even more athletic, Harries is just inexperienced.

I am not sure if the hospitality sell out is also exaggerated. I know JLR definitely had a fair number of people there, which I would suggest is free. As for making a small fortune, not sure about that either due to the way the IEC is structured.

Whilst of course you can't ignore the costs, you can't ignore the income either. FWIW the £100k rent + match day costs with 50% of net? profit seems a decent enough deal, certainly better than £1.3m + match day costs with no stadium related income and I would suggest reasonable enough to be...

    General Election

You don't have much of a clue about Britain, do you? The Tory vote is strongest in the rural areas. Not that I agree with fox hunting, it's abhorrent, but the Tories always pay their loyal voters one way or another. Also, the ban on fox hunting had nothing to do with the EU, ironically, the...

    Slug & Lettuce

In fairness vow, the Slug & Lettuce does do some ales. It used to be in the same group as the Litten Tree, but was seen as a step up from the Litten Tree I think. Incidentally, the Litten Tree has a good range of hand pulled ales and some decent lagers in bottles (Pilsner Urquelle etc)!

I think people forget how hit and miss Moussa could be. Great one week, completely anonymous the next.

Nope. Pressley was in charge when we played away at Sheffield United in Stokes' debut, I was there. Would Mowbray have signed him if he wasn't already at the club? I doubt it very much. Bless you, Toni. You really try your best.

Splitting hairs, Toni. Pressley couldn't sign him permanently as it was outside the transfer window, he was signed with a view to a permanent deal. Signed when Pressley was manager though I'll give you a little bit of credit, he was recommended by Hockaday.

    Mowbray

One more on Pressley, signings were hit and miss (particularly loans) but he had to cut the wage bill massively in 2013 and again in 2014. He did sign Stokes, Martin and JOB permanently who were all reasonably good. Have far more respect for him than Mowbray.

    Mowbray

Excellent post. To be fair to Pressley he didn't meekly throw the towel in like certain others.
