Why Did The Council Sell To Wasps?

The absolute thing you can be pretty sure of with all this is that every time your average Joe tunes into a 'Sky Blues' forum and reads yet more of this piffle and he was a bit undecided about taking the kids up the City for the next home match is he probably thinks 'What a mess, no cohesion...

    Managers and Trends

The club has been on the downslide since the millennium, finances have been dire, outside parties have had to step in to breach shortfalls like in the Ricoh build and again when the current custodians came in 2007. There is a whole failing culture about the place and many people have been held...

They just remembered he'd got a 4 year contract to pay off ??!

    My Promise

I think things are just a tad more serious now than the historical melodramas when we were all moaning about the possibility of relegation from the top league or we'd sold this player or that guy didn't sign. This is just an individual case but there is a quiet replication of this all over the...

    My Promise

If I was you pal, I'd just stay home that night or take the family out somewhere else, it's not worth doing anything radical, you will likely regret it !

    My Promise

I remember plenty being thrown onto the HR pitch at different times over the years, I bet a few regretted it when we sacked the offending manager and began a revival under a new guy the following week !!

Attendances if sisu were to leave tomorrow

People aren't attending games because the owners have reduced the club to its worst position in 50+ years and their strategy will only lead it lower by the looks of it !

    My Promise

No need for that, I'll have it. I'll just get some ID with Mr Mole on it for next seasons renewal though !

Attendances if sisu were to leave tomorrow

It used to be a central part of my life. Everything else was generally booked around the fixture list, the success of a weekend rested on the City result, finances were planned around football spend, parties and social events turned down if I was making my way back from away matches, Christmas...

Attendances if sisu were to leave tomorrow

New ambitious owners, new tactically aware manager, a few positive results..................crowds would rise by around 5000 to start with. Next season with a good start and challenging, average 14-16000 !

League Position at end of season.

A narrow defeat at Preston isn't a disgrace. I'll be more pessimistic if we get dicked at home by Scunny at home this week. It's fair to say though, if we go on a bit of a winning streak and reach the dizzy heights of mid table then SP will be here for another year.

16 weeks without a home league win.

We have some fresh blood now though and have tried numerous players. It's either that they are not very good footballers or the tactics and management are appalling ?! I'm not sure, I'll leave that to more regular attendees to comment ?

Shame about the gate, I thought we'd keep up the 2000 crowds for a while longer yet !?

    Preston Match Thread

7 wins in 29 matches in League 1, out of all the cups by the end of December ? Fa Cup humiliation by Worcester City, crowds down to 7000, Club shop empty, Chairman still talking up Stadium La La Land, Wasps planning their next rebranding move on OUR fucking stadium............how much worse can...

No not really, any update on how the real Cov are doing today ?

    Reply from club shop

Worlds apart from almost any club in the league now. The reason we haven't got merchandise to sell is that there is no priority given to it at all. I expect a small order given to a low grade supplier to coincide with ST sales in the spring/early summer. I wouldn't bother ordering too many if I...

Has our intrepid council got into bed with a paving company ?

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/look-first-pictures-latest-coventry-8575944 There appears to be nothing new apart from block paving, which would soon be messed up by chewing gum !
