The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

And you’re right not to, on that we’ll agree. Still doesn’t change the fact that we have/had the power of veto. If our elected British government chose not to use it against the will of the British people then that’s a domestic issue.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

My mind at rest? It was me who advised you to find some different “evidence” because the article you originally linked as evidence contradicted you. Seems you took my advice to put your own mind at rest you little joker you.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

    Something we could have vetoed.

I can Grendull. It’s you that is struggling. You can’t even make your mind up if it’s € or £. Still, contradiction is nothing new for you. Good day.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I’m not saying it’s impossible in fact I’m saying it’s likely. What people voted for though was control, that word again, control of our borders. This won’t be control of our borders. They’ll be nothing stopping anyone from the EU traveling to Ireland as is their right under free movement of...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Again. It’s called the power of veto.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Again. I really don’t and am not.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Again. See evidence provided by Grendull.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Just so you know there’s been border checks both customs and security in my lifetime. The customs buildings are still there at most crossing. Customs checks stopped in 1993 and security checks stopped with the good Friday piece agreement. Having crossed the border dozens if not hundreds of times...

I refer you to the evidence supplied by Grendull yet again. Why don’t you prove me wrong.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

You do realise that as EU members we have the power of veto? It’s the same power Ireland is threatening to use to stop trade talks with the U.K. unless the border issue is sorted first. And no one could force us to join the euro anyway and I would think had there ever been a referendum on...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Just so you know the island of Ireland is split into two. The North or Ulster if you prefer is part of the U.K. and therefore British. The rest isn’t. It’s a stand alone country called Ireland or Eire if you prefer. It’s also an EU member state and will remain so after Brexit. If you want border...

UK's Brexit offer worth up to 50bn euros The BBC’s coverage is quite good. Points out things like MEP and EU staff pension contributions. Presumably Farage, other UKIP MEP’s and staff are going to waiver their rights to there’s as they want no part of the euro gravy train.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

Anyhow. Bringing it back on topic you have to admire the job Corbyn has done as leader of the Labour Party despite his MP’s rebelling against their members wishes.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Stop being negative. If it fails it will be your fault not the fault of the people who voted for it blah blah blah ;)

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Is it? Why? Because yo say so? Grendull says you’re right also but then provides evidence that actually when analysed says the opposite. As always the devil is in the detail.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

That’s because it was €100b not pounds. Although you have flip flopped on that yourself over your last half a dozen posts. You seem confused.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I’m just going by the evidence that Grendull supplied to back up his theory that the EU aren’t calling the shots. He either needs to supply some new evidence to back himself up in or admit he’s got it wrong. Because at the moment that’s all he’s done. Prove himself wrong.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

In fact if you take the gross figure suggested in the article you link £84b and then deduct the rebate as the article suggests that puts the nett figure that the EU were looking for in the region of £40b - £50b by my calculations. I’m struggling to see here we’re the EU have compromised at all...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It’s a €100b not £100b so less than your trying to make out. It was also the gross figure, the net figure would be less as the rebate would have to be considered, it also states in the article that you link that it was an opening offer, ie it’s a starting point of negotiations. The amount was...
