I agree with you to an extent but it doesn’t seem to have been the best publicised protest. If they’re looking to represent the fans surely they should surely look to be more inclusive. Or am I the only one who doesn’t know anything about this?
Not that I entirely disagree with them but I feel that our recent transfer activity is an indicator that we’re already planning for next year...like you say hopefully in this division.
Yep. We need to start bringing in better quality players, that can perform consistently.
I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t have signed JCH unless we had to as part of his loan deal, and that he wouldn’t have played if Biamou had remained fit.
Good points, well made.
Robins wanted to trim the squad. Probably saves a bit of cash. We’re probably not going up or down (fuck I hope not) this year, so might be worth trying to play some of our wunderkinds in preparation for next season.
Ah right. Yeah, I guess you don’t see that much nowadays. I’m sure I was at a game (palace away?) where Callum davenport did just that. Possibly the same game bothroyd scored a wonder goal...
I can’t fault the premise tbf. I dunno what the owner’s like but the environmental aspect is sound enough. It’s also certainly helped create their own individual identity. I expect on this basis alone they get a little extra support from people curious to try/support the vegan football team...
Ah shame, I thought I’d inadvertently met my first forum member.
At the same time...I couldn’t empathise with that bloke! All decked out in green he was.
From the little I saw of FGR they seemed very well run and their owner seems to be backing them.
Bloody FGR grumble, grumble...bloody...
Bloody FGR!!! Worst away day I’ve had! A mixture of disappointment, a couple of annoying home fans, and some jealousy!
As I think about it I was in the home end and chatting to a bloke from cov who was supporting forest green as they were close to relegation and they were his local team...
