It’s been mentioned several times before on this forum that we’re too complacent when it comes to defending teammates who are getting roughed up by the opposition. Should our management team be encouraging the players to be more proactive in complaining to the ref about this? Perhaps a Micky...

Isn’t that sort of comment bringing the game into disrepute?

What about Wright’s chance which the defender slid across and blocked? Had he moved the ball to the right slightly, or done a di Stefano-type pull-back, the defender would have slid past, leaving Wright with a clear sight of goal.

The match reports often contain typos and grammatical errors. Haven’t read it in a while but the club’s history on the official site also contained lots of grammatical errors. I contacted the club to ask if they wanted me to proofread it, for free. No reply. 🙄

I agree. I would rather us have brought players in that meet the requirements than, as has happened so many times in the past, been bought just to make the numbers up. I’m just delighted that there is a plan to try to get promoted in the next five years. Lots of things to be optimistic about...
