Match Thread Peterborough United vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 16th Mar

I'll be pleased if Brown is back in as I think we could do with his experience in the back 4, particularly if Willis is out. Kelly and Meyler in midfield? Not really sure how we'll do here, one point would be ok. Three would make my weekend.

    Cheltenham

I've been to Cheltenham a couple of times, last time I went I said I probably wouldn't go again as the number of horses dying every year is too much

    Car advice.

Any mechanic will tell you to buy Japanese (albeit often made in England). I used to have a Hyundai that was exceptionally reliable so they're worth looking at too, an i30 second hand you could get for £3k

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

What has labour got to do with it? They. Are. Not. In. Government.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Not really, the EU are approaching this as they should i.e. to reach a mutually beneficial agreement. That's unlike the privileged Tory tossers on the UK side who see every negotiation as a winner talks all deal to buy something.

Didn't Beamish Red post on GMK?

    Things that annoy you

Yep, going on the piss builds a working relationship a lot quicker than any pissing about with LinkedIn etc.

    Trust Statement

Yep, they've leveraged the stadium to buy it out presumably with the approval of the council.

    Council Statement due today

No, the FOI requests asked about discussions specifically. They didn't need to ask about applications as that is publicly available.

    Council Statement due today

Also, the council's internal legal team and their counsel for the JR are two completely different groups of people.

    Council Statement due today

Erm the council's solictor has no authority whatsoever to accept SISU dropping the legals. Duggins is a liar.
  13. fernandopartridge

    Council Statement due today

What do you mean boiling down to? It was ever thus. The council's former leaders hate SISU and what they represent i.e. hedge funds and high finance. (They can ignore it for Wasps though as they're better at PR)

    Trust Statement

Hmmm, the first bit I possibly agree with, they might have known. The second bit doesn't make any sense.

    Trust Statement

Did the Council get Wasps onboard with the Ricoh on the basis that they'd always have a paying tenant (and the visitors that tenant brings in)? Is that why the sequence of events was the way it was? I.e. that CCFC's return was prior to Wasps mid-season move to the Ricoh.

    New Zealand Shootings

Yep. I think we're heading towards a social media driven fascism.

    Council Statement due today

Agreed, my point about the council's senior officers applies.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The poll tax was genuinely detrimental to people though. Delays to Brexit are not and avoiding a no deal Brexit certainly not.

What is celebrated is the capture of Guy Fawkes rather than the act

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Some of the more idiotic Brexiteers make me laugh. For ages they shout terms like 'sovereignty' - now parliament carries out a series of votes the outcome of which they don't like, they're no longer so keen.
