I wouldn't say he made a special effort before, unless it was before I got to my seat. When he was warming up in his normal fashion kicking balls into an empty net he responded to fans applause by clapping back, but that's usual

It was a little disrespectful of him, but I won't read to much into it. He wasn't the only one, I think only 6 or 7 players made an effort to cross the half way line to applaud us fans along with SP and NM
