    Platt and communication problems

“They had been 2-0 up and then it was 2-2 and they were on the back foot and couldn’t get out of their half, and as long as we kept kicking it long and keeping them squeezed up then we picked up the second balls and we were back on them again." Is this a sly dig at Thorn's style of keeping...

    F.A.O Brinner Snozzer Darkknight

If we can keep up with Watford and the other just above us we may stand a chance. If we are with in 4-5 points of fourth bottom and then significant investment is in place for January we may be able to beat the drop.

Fans Support of Andy Thorn: A sign of just how far we have fallen?

Am I the only one who to this day still thinks Dowie was unlucky to be sacked? He had 49 games for us in overlapping seasons, over a 46 game season he averaged 64 points.

Whats' the buzz, Brinner, tell us whats' happening

That is a bold statement to make.

I am beginning to go off Andy Thorn a bit of late

He did make good changes which worked and had a positive impact on the game but I think the first abysmal 45 mins and the changes and the impact they made, showed Thorn started off with the wrong formation and starting line up.

    I wouldn't disagree with that.

Otium company created by our directors

I have heard this is to put us into admin, this is just speculation/rumour also I have no idea how business works so don't know if they could do this etc.

Yea the goal was lucky but that flick set up the whole panic in the Southampton defence, if Juke had controlled the ball better he probably would have scored himself then it would have set up the goal. That flick was about the most creative/flair pass a Coventry player played all game. He hasn't...

Fans Support of Andy Thorn: A sign of just how far we have fallen?

The squad is poor and he hasn't been given the backing to get anyone in for how he would like to play or to replace players who have left, however I don't think he is getting near the best of the players he has available currently.

If we are already planning for a league 1 campaign I think he could be a good player at that level. He wouldn't be top of my list for renewals but I would rather him than Baker/Bell. He did a great flick for Platt's goal on Saturday.

Will AT be gone before West Ham

We do lack pace but that isn't the biggest thing wrong. Which Southampton player had blistering pace yesterday? Playing at a faster tempo and a change of pace in the way we play can be just as effective. The problem is nobody supports the strikers from midfield, we play to slow which allows a...

What is the chance of The Juke and Codey making a partnership?

Don't worry that will be our strike force after January. With ROD and Eastwood backing them up.

    Couldn't get into the stadium!!??

Could have got in at HT? I thought they opened some gates at HT to let the smokers go out? I usually stay in my seat at HT but I remember they used to. Should have just banged on the gates, usually there is a steward on the other side, might have opened it for you.

What is the chance of The Juke and Codey making a partnership?

Exactly, I said in another thread the two Southampton CB must have pinged about 25 50-60 yard passes in the first half. They weren't aimless hoofs, most of the time they were quality passes pinged right to Danny Fox's feet or to Lamberts chest. They then played short passing 1-2's players...

    The Team

----------Murphy Keogh--Cranie--Wood--Hussey ????----Clingan--Gael---?????? --------Juke----?????? I think if everyone was available we would have the core of a side capable of staying up, but because of our squad it means those 3 empty positions are filled with players not good enough or...

What can we do to stay up ?

Change in formation and style of play. Not long ball just get the ball forward at a faster tempo and pass forwards more.

CCFC's woes from a Saints Fan's perspective and a message of support

I appreciate the support and am glad to see Southampton bouncing back from admin but it sounds as if you got lucky overnight with the new owner. I can't see any rich businessman taking a fancy to us currently tbh. The Ricoh would be great if we could fill it and generate some sort of...

    conner thomas!

He probably isn't ready for this level yet but he is still better than Baker and Bell, especially in a central role maybe not out wide.
