Why should they? Building a new ground using as little borrowed money as possible will stand them in good stead for years. Given they were in non league not that long ago I don't blame them one bit.

The tories have got to try and fight the election on issues like this, they can't go on the traditional big issues given their performance. Starmer is falling into the trap of getting involved though in the absence of any policies of his own I suppose that's inevitable.
