Sunday League footy memories and funny stories

Lol Woody I can see your point though. I think I would have fainted if I thought my balls were dropping out on a public field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sunday League footy memories and funny stories

In response to this I watched an u13 game on Sunday....a pre season friendly. Most of the game like you say nice touches and a few less than full-blooded tackles. However in the last five mins it started to get tougher; one lad was taken out by three tacklers one of them over the top studs...

    Is Burge Good Enough ?

People keep posting he's 'ok' or 'fine'. That's not good enough in my book as I would hope to see 'good' or 'fantastic shot stopper' or ....well you get the drift. I think he has potential but isn't there yet. I would welcome an experienced keeper to push him hard for the number 1 slot. However...

    RIP Jayden Pearsons

Very sad news for anyone so young to pass on. I never knew you but certainly have heard you and your mates. Thoughts are with your family and friends. RIP and PUSB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Warwick castle. I prefer this to the Venetian canal scenes canalleto painted. I knew he had spent time in England but was unaware he had visited so close to home. I wonder if it is meant to be a true likeness or not as the left of the picture I think is out of proportion to the reality of today...

    Wearing Your Clubs Colours

I know the feeling used to go with dad and son. Dad died last year and son aged 22 said Saturday that the only thing missing was grandad not there to see it. I had a tear in my eye as I gave him a hug Hope you have many seasons together at football it's priceless Sent from my iPhone using...

    Virtual book club

I would be up for it MrT....would need time to acquire and read the books after they were posted. I'm already in a book club and it can be frustrating when you just haven't had the time to complete it. I like the idea of getting to know new authors and music and reassessing artists although I...

    Wearing Your Clubs Colours

I wore the red and son wore the sky blue. I couldn't care what people wear...far better to hear the shouts of encouragement, the general support and the hum of excitement round the place. At half time in the toilet queue the crowd were buzzing about the way we were playing Sent from my iPhone...

    What's your favourite biscuit?

wigan's point of view. Boss disappointed to start the season with defeat at the Ricoh

They may have had more possession but rarely threatened burge...we had a lot less, scored two, hit post twice, could have scored others. Possession is fine but if you never or almost never get in the box you aren't going to win many football games. I felt we often let them have the ball and...

    Match day experience feedback

The toilets were awful...long quest at h/t and people unable to read/understand/respect the 'in' 'out' entrances. Also the toilets seem to have rusted in places and really didn't look up to the job. Any more people there and they wouldn't have coped at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
