Seems like he had a fairly decent hit rate for Sunderland last season, looking the stats. Can't say I know too much about him beyond this thread, but if Mark Robins thinks he's worth it, then that's good enough for me.

That's such a shame, always rated him for us, thought he worked well alongside Keane. 😔

I can see their point certainly, but I'd say that it's less critical than if he were playing in his old position, because at least in midfield he's got people behind him to cover him when he does get it wrong.
