It is the longest of shots to catch Milwall now, going to need a lot to go our way if we are too catch them starting with there game vs Pompy. If Millwall win that they will be to far ahead.
You only have to look at the age our squad to see who is largely to blame, several players playing in the first team today were carrying injuries but we had no viable replacements.
Age of our bench
Nimely 20
Gael 18
Christie 19
Willis 17
Anyone can match anyone in this division on there day. We don't have a good enough, consistent enough or large enough squad to compete with these teams week in, week out.
Murphy - Experienced decent at this level
Dunn - Inexperienced and don't know if he is good enough
Keogh - Fairly experienced and good
Cranie - Experienced and good enough
Hussey - Limited experience and has potential
Clarke - Limited experience and has potential
Christie - Inexperienced and not...
Thinking about it 4 points from the next two games could well drag us back out the bottom 3 looking at the fixtures.
We are teetering on the edge of relegation right now.
Fair enough but I don't think it would be worth the risk, I would rather everyone played in the correct position and in positions they are comfortable with even if some of those players are less than 100%.
With that team we would probably be 3-0 down by 70 minutes.
It is an unknown formation to the team with Christie, Norwood and Mcsheffrey all out of position, not a good idea. I would prefer an 80% Nimely or a 90% Mcdonald before that suggested idea.
1) Who cares is they are injured, they are professional footballers who should be able to play 2 games in 3 days
2) If they are injured I blame Thorn for still playing them, we should have played Jutkiewicz/King instead.
I am being sarcastic btw.
You can say he got decisions wrong with he definitely has at times.
Although imo the squad is definitely bottom 3 material, today we had about 6 senior players and one of them is Platt who is limited and a league 1 player.
