How about - well you found the idea of a football club leaving it's home city morally repugnant - yet you are happy to champion the franchising of another club to our city, at the detriment of 2 home town sporting institutions.
Yet again - complete inability to read my posts correctly. In fact you just make it up as you go along...
When has their ever been a deal for the 'Ricoh' as a whole??
As for the JR - I said very little about it.
Evidently not...
Whilst we are in the subject - remind me how many times the football club owners (SISU and before) were offered a 90% stake in ACL.....?
Don't be soft. This path we are on was set in motion long before SISU arrived. Yes they have exacerbated it.
Also there was never a deal for the Ricoh -just a deal for 50% of the lease holding company.... Not quite the same is it.
I've finally worked it all out...
So Timmy had gone quiet recently.. leaving Waggot to front up on the football side.
Meanwhile he has been secretly negotiating with Wasps to do this deal.
Wasps are the makeweight - buy off ACL - then sell straight to SISU.
Wasps aren't out of pocket and as...
If you actually bothered to read any of my posts you would know I said that ACL as a business was not viable without the football club. So if the club owned both there is potential to make plenty of money -there will now be an extra 250,000 visitors a year due to the return of the club.
Taking the SISU factor out of it for one second, the club does not have the funds or assets to buy anything, nevermind a stadium or a controlling stake in ACL. So the stadium/lease/whatever would be owned by a 'different' company.
Personally I believe that if the owners were to take control of...
Neither situation is comparable to ours... but both are cautionary tales. Rushden & Diamonds were given the ground for free pretty much and still managed to go bust because amongst other things they didn't have the finance to run the club on a day to day basis.
This is the key point....
He might not be a brilliant player but he is better than most of the midfielders we have on our books with the exception of O'Brien and Fleck.. both of which do not contribute goals like he has in the past.
I think some people's reaction to the news has been a surprise.
Ultimately we are just talking about things that could potentially happen, but the perceived (not necessarily the case) viewpoint is that ACL are OK in trying to sell off the long term lease of the Ricoh. As such we COULD become...
Amazing.... you couldn't dismiss this comment any quicker if you tried.... YET when Fisher mentioned the word liquidation in an interview as something that could potentially happen given the financial position you and everyone else goes into meltdown as if the words were handed down to us by...
I believe it was said at a fans forum where he was pushed about the club owning the stadium. He said that 'technically' the club would not own the stadium, it would be in the hands of a holding company - a subsidiary of the club or something to that effect.
Not sure if there is a link anywhere...
