Is it worth getting ROD back?

Boothroyd as manager and Thorn as scout probably both had a say in signing him, it is odd for sure as he came to the club and neither Boothroyd or Thorn seem to rate him as he is rarely selected for either.

    ken Knows

I dread to think where we would be had he not turned us around

Is it worth getting ROD back?

He scored against the 2nd bottom side in the scottish division 1, hardly anything to shout out about. It doesn't matter anyway, imo he will not be good enough for league 1. We should get rid to what ever mugs will take him.

How big do people think a league 1 squad needs to be!!!!

The 25 squad rule doesn't include U21 players I believe, so you can play as many U21 players as you want as a premiership side. If we had a 22 man squad where 18 of the players were over 23 years old and of decent quality and a few younger players i.e Cameron, Clarke, Hussey. The fact that in...

Is it worth getting ROD back?

No because Stu is only quoting league stats, not the cup games where he scored against some shitty division 1 side in Scotland.

Is it worth getting ROD back?

No people keep barking on that he is proven at league 1, 9 goals in 15 games hardly makes him proven imo. Proven is doing it consistently for about 18 months over about 60 games. ROD is lucky to be a professional footballer.

    Bans...a good thing?

I agree 0 physicality in our side throughout the whole season, only player who wasn't afraid to put in the boot was Keogh.

    McPake expecting to return?

I am pretty sure Thorn has said before he does rate him, I think Thorn was very disappointed when he asked to go to Scotland.

    Richard Wood

Yea I noticed this to, I was sure they had made a mistake which is why I counted them lol The 47(10) only counts the last 2 seasons played under Boothroyd and Thorn and not the games he played under Coleman, the games he played under Coleman for that whole season have all been put under the...

One Step Forward 3 back TYPICAL!

Not saying they have good morals just saying if they believe the rent is excessive and we can't afford it then they should stand their corner rather than just backing off and saying ok we will pay it at the first hurdle. The rent has always been an issue I am guessing but now has become a bigger...

One Step Forward 3 back TYPICAL!

tbf 1.2 million rent is excessive, Ipswich pay a tenth of that according to the telegraph. As someone else said this could be a plan to get fan pressure to decrease the rent.

I am glad we are offering Platt a contract

Not knocking him just saying if we want to rebuild and restructure the playing squad from league 1 as many including people at the club say we are going to do then Platt shouldn't be offered a new contract.

    Richard Wood

I can tell you now since January 2010 when he signed Richard Wood has made 76 league appearances. I have counted them using soccerbase The only season Richard Wood has had injury problems is this season, in his first season he appeared in 24 league games having only signed in November (5 loan...

Some of these lot could do a job for us

Theo hasn't got the touch either so I dread to imagine how poor his brothers ball control is.

I am glad we are offering Platt a contract

Can't say I am happy tbh, what use do we have for a striker that doesn't score. Not very mobile and for a big guy doesn't throw his weight around much. Should only be an impact role at best and even then I would rather we had an upcoming striker/target man who had a bit of mobility about him...

    Nicky Bamby

Cheers, So Barmby does a carefully worded interview basically said the club need to be ambitious in the transfer market if they want to reach the premierleage and the owners need to back their ambition they say they have for the club - Consequence suspended Andy Thorn pretty much single...

Anyone care to quote what he said as I can't find it, I doubt it was as bad as Thorns blast after the Millwall game.

    Richard Wood

He has played around 70 games for us and that is with not appearing to be Boothroyds or Thorns preferred centre back, I can only remember this season injuries being a problem.

    Clarke-Harris

His wiki says Coalville town, only source I could find.

Some of these lot could do a job for us

Paynter, Nunez and Clayton. Clayton will probably move to a championship club though, Leeds wanted to extend his contract but negotiations broke down. EDIT Webber is very injury prone
