Trading our way out of trouble

I nearly put on the end that it's too late now, but still I see it and stadium owndership being the only real ways to get out of the mess.

Trading our way out of trouble

A club like Coventry is too small and un-profitable NOT to have to sell its players. Take Ray Ranson. He got slated when he was here, although I guess much of that was mis-directed rage which should of been at SISU. But he had the right idea and to start with was implementing it. That idea...

    City till July?

Does anyone know for sure? I mean Nuneaton had a 2 division drop. But was that as far as they could be dropped?

Push Council for STADIUM OWNERSHIP not reduced rent!!

If it came to it and Ccfc was liquidated then the fans would definitely get behind the new team. I sometimes think its the only way forward. Clean slate, start again with no debts. Play our way up the ladder. Learn to win and be tough. Every other possible way out just seems a dead end.

    What team will be left?

It looked ok for the home games, nice good quality pitch at the Ricoh, pass it around a bit. Yeovil away on a blustery Wednesday night however and they will seriously struggle.

    What team will be left?

We could do with striking up a deal with say Man City, and them season loaning us 6 of their good youngsters to play for us for the season, but importantly play together also so it benefits them.

Push Council for STADIUM OWNERSHIP not reduced rent!!

Do you think that ACL can survive a liquidation of CCFC? I realise a new club would probably crop up 9 steps down the league ladder, and could potentially play there and generate a tiny rent, but still it would cripple it massively.

It's just do deflating. Whatever way you turn there is a huge brick wall. Someone's wall is going to have to come down, or be knocked down

It's crossed my mind a few times. Although not sure if it's more hope than expectation.

Push Council for STADIUM OWNERSHIP not reduced rent!!

I hate to say it, but I think the club needs to go through admin first and SISU need to accept the p in the £ offer. This would hopefully then write off most of SISU's debt for the balance not agreed. ( company admin procedures isn't my area I admit). It's not ideal for either party, but the...

Yes!! Precisely. Future investors need to get the stadium. Not SISU

Push Council for STADIUM OWNERSHIP not reduced rent!!

I know the stadium makes money from other areas but the Council have said if they cut rent ref ACL makes a loss too. Therefore the fate of club and stadium are one and the same.

And a fair price could be reached by an equity stake in the club, not necessarily a cash payment.

Push Council for STADIUM OWNERSHIP not reduced rent!!

The whole stop the Council Ricoh rent thing seems like a total mis-direction of energy to me. Coventry fans are hurting and are mad, and I appreciate the need to come together and do something. But just because someone has suggested this and shouting ‘ALL OF US HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER’ doesn’t...

Don't know if this has been mooted at all

You see I still consider the likes of Clarke and Christie to be youngsters, although for us they are more like seasoned veterans. We need to build a team around a few 'rocks', some experienced heads. Someone like Kevin Philips up front, Keogh at the back and a few more. The youngsters can get...

why not, we're down, might as well give the youngsters a run, some of these will never play Champ football again. Nice touch
