Thank you for this... obviously it is clear to see that there were a lot of factors affecting the value of ACL all the way through this. The point I was trying to make was that when the discussion between SISU and ACL were ongoing regarding that 50% share there were values pitched/discussed...

They sold ACL to Wasps and a 250 year lease for less than the 'deal' they had looked to do with SISU previously (before the loan was re-financed)

Becuase you are talking about the entire purchase of ACL - and using the example of what was only a 50% purchase... when the first 50% was already owned by Wasps.

It does not matter which extract it comes from, it does not change the fact that how they portrayed ACL as a business was a lie. The argument that the loan from CCC put them in a stronger position than before falls down because they sold the business for even less afterwards.

So ACL did need the club, they were not in the financially strong position they claimed to be. So the council, including Anne Lucas lied.

    Contract extensions under SISU

Probably down to the fact we were offered 750K and he hadnt played for 8 months

This deal is in relation to a 50% share of ACL... Notably the Higgs proportion. The other 50% has already been sold to Wasps and they potentially had veto over the sale. So to use this an example is not relevant at all is it.....

    Contract extensions under SISU

Callum Wilson was a senior player when his was extended.

Is that not what they said in the JR? The document that you love to quote from like it's scripture.

Offer the club the same deal as they offered Wasps??? Hardly rocket science is it.

    The one that got away

How many times did he score against us? Was at least once IIRC... doesn't matter how crap they end up, they still manage to do one over on us.

You have a fair point... but where is the progression then for the future? Are we destined to be a Lge 1/Champ yo-yo club at best?

If that's the formula for a good player then Emmanuel Adebayor should be nominated for the Ballon D'Or with Messi and Ronaldo.

    Breaking Frank Nouble News

There is a clear pattern emerging here and at almost every other football club in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier. Youth players are tied down with longer term contracts, because if they develop into good quality players there is protection for the club in terms of a return on their investment...

So now if we wished to get further loans, we would have flexibility to do so. The same if the Aaron Martin deal becomes permanent.

Shall we waste our entire budget on one player and a lengthy contract? Or would you actually think the wise thing to do is utilise it to it's maximum by being able to sign 2,3 even 4 players?

    Why should they remain anonymous

There's no mention of them supporting the team either in the press release... So how do you justify that away??

    To all the smart arse's........

Back to the OP... perhaps we are going about this wrong. We are trying to fight a war of attrition with a group of people that do this as a day job. People say starve them out... they take business and streamline costs/restructure all the time. Are we playing into their hands and making their...
