Well it never says he chose us over a premier club, just that they were interested. There is a difference between scouting a player and watching him play and offering a player a contract, it is likely that he wouldn't have been offered a contract at a premier club even if they were initially...

Yep I agree, exact same could be said about his treatment under Thorn That is why I started off by saying his signing mystifies me

His work rate wasn't even great, not a criticism as his fitness and age probably didn't allow him to chase balls for 90 minutes.

Did you read the links I posted? Do you still believe it was a Thorn scouting 99% after reading? Also as I posted earlier there was over a month between Boothroyd being appointed and ROD signed so that reason doesn't work But you haven't responded to either points :thinking about:

A quick research tells me there was over a month between Boothroyd being appointed and ROD signing so that isn't a very good argument

You know this how? People get slated for saying he was a Boothroyd signing but you can say he is for sure scouted by Thorn

I've always said for a while ROD signing was a mystery to me as neither Thorn or Boothroyd rated him

Bit early to be predicting champions, we would have to sign some more quality players and hope that no one leave. However I am looking forward to hopefully having a successful campaign
