Telegraph says we have bought the Brandon speedway site.

Too many NIMBY's in Brandon. They hate the fact that theirs the speedway there which brings a few thousand people every week. They'll be up in arms at the thought of 10K a week turning up to a football stadium. Will never happen.

IF (?) agreement is reached and we're back at the Ricoh...

You realise that without the council's help all those years before SISU even bought us the club wouldn't have even had the Ricoh to play at don't you? And you also realise that for 4 years SISU were quite happy to pay the cost of the rent without ONCE questioning it, that was all until their...

Bomb Squad not even allowed treatment?

I guess you'd say that if you hadn't earnt £4M+ (conservative guess before tax) from your career so far and really needed that extra £500k. But Sheffers has earnt that much. If I were offered 20% outright of my possible earnings to the date I retire (say 65) right now and gamble I could get a...

Bomb Squad not even allowed treatment?

Rumour is that it's 20% offer of wages owed for duration of contract. If that's the case and he's on £6k a week then he's turned down a £125k payout and the opportunity to play weekly elsewhere to earn himself another £500k at SISU's expense.

Bomb Squad not even allowed treatment?

His reasoning on Twitter as to why he didn't take the offer and stick out the 2 years was to keep having the income to look after his daughter & pay his bills, which is a fair comment.... if he hadn't earn't £20k a week at Blues for 3 years and £10K a week at CCFC for god knows how many years...

Bomb Squad not even allowed treatment?

Probably explains why Bell took the payout and went to County as he couldn't afford a personal physio the amount of time he uses one :D

    Phone call from CCFC

Yep, we have a family friend who works in the "shop". They hire a van every morning and evening to ferry the stock between Ryton and Tescos... absolute dire set up.

    Phone call from CCFC

A lot of businesses call from behind blocked numbers. I know my company does when we call out to customers. If it's the office / shop staff that are making the calls then I'd guess that they're based out at Ryton as it either there or working off of the barrow in Tescos for those staff at the...

Pubs and Local Businesses - Nikki Sinclaire MEP

The woman who ran Rowleys Green Social once said to us that on a week night she took just £17 in a whole evening. They made money hand over fist when City were at home.

Pubs and Local Businesses - Nikki Sinclaire MEP

Won't next wednesday be too late? The Football League make their decision today so any arguement will be tad late, no? As a quick thought though to flesh out your info, you could try calling local pubs (Hub, Convoy, Craftsman, Cherrytree, Unicorn etc) and the car parking guys based on the A444...

    Presumed consent!!

Been a donor card holder and blood donator for a good few years now. If I don't need it then they can have it is my way of thinking. Just started donating platelets rather than whole blood too. Very weird experience :p

    Hockey & rugby

England Ladies have done brilliantly to get to the final today. Dissent in hockey is definitely there though, just the punishment is a lot harsher than football. If you pick up a red in hockey you could face upto 12 games out depending on the report filed by the umpires. When you think you...

    Even more players to go.

My point was, going forwards we aren't going to have those loans that would have ultimately taken their place as starters. We aren't going to buy anyone in the foreseeable future and so getting rid of them only to replace them with youth is a massive gamble and a huge cost cutting exercise. I...

    Even more players to go.

Erm Jennings and Edge. We aren't going to have Bailey again this year, nor Martin so both of those would start the season for us. Jennings played 39 times last season in the league, Edj 33 according to wiki. I'd bet that most of those were starts too rather than sub appearances.
